Why the hell isn't Tureano Johnson vs Antonio Gutierrez on here?

Carlos Takam is also fighting on Sunday, and the odds against his opponent per the bookies aren't much different than Ancajas' opponent.

If anyone wants have a some super secret discussion on some of this weekends fights I'm interested. I'll be betting on the weekend, so if anyone wants to swap ideas and information, I'm in. I've primarily been studying Berchelt.

I'm hesitant to spread my crap here though, most people will probably think A) I'm obsessive literally taking notes on a notepad watching fight and I feel like a loser enough already B) I'll rightfully get **** for potentially making people indecisive with their picks C) All the extra talk will make league members have to wade through pages of my ranting that they're not interested in.

Nah man... this is a prediction league, so taking notes is awesome and badass lol. And nothing wrong with sifting through various discussions lol...

So fire away m'man... unless you wanna play it close to the vest to try and get one up on the competition, which i understand. But otherwise never feel shy rambling away ;)

Man... im sticking with frampton sd... but my head really wants to take leo. This has high potential for controversial decision in his favor... imo. Ill probably kick myself tomorrow for not switching.

And I think Garcia gets rocked tomorrow... wont be surprised if he goes down either. cant wait for that fight. I expect his size skill and experience will pull him through, but i just see him in for some adversity for real lol.

    Cant wait.

With a home fighter recently getting the shaft against a British fighter in a title fight, I think the next one we'll see is a British fighter getting screwed, or at the least not favored.

That's not to say Leo can't win the fight fair to begin with.

Titles hot potato like that, and promoters know it and deal with it accordingly. So do fighters. You see a surprising and consistent lack of hostility or complaints after controversial title events in boxing and that certainly has a reason. It's not an age old coincidence that is repeated ad infinitum with nary any action ever being taken.

Anyone remember the calmness from Evander Holyfield and co after the Valuev title farce? There's nothing left for a 50 year old Holyfield to do, and everyone knew it. He knew it, the promoters knew it. Get in there and half fight for 12 rounds then deal with the inevitable. Cue everyone shuffling around the ring and lackadaisically shaking hands after it'll all done.

It's because it's important to keep things "balanced" within the game. Who controls what, who makes what money off of what sanctioning body, the prestige and exposure titles bring.

Normally a fighter gets a few soft touches so they can make those few important paydays. It reminds me of Jose Pedraza lately. Certainly a decent fighter, but really just a belt warmer until someone truly marketable is found. He was given the Cherry fight for that probable reason, to keep that title regardless of the fight going close or being a wipeout. It keeps the title "in house"

You better believe Frampton is making as much money as he ever has here to come over again, and he and his team are well aware of the potential fight this could become.
