Is anyone else as excited as I am about Sam Eggington vs. Paulie Malignaggi? I can't wait for some reason.
As shot as Paulie is I would still make him a clear favorite here, Eggington is British level. There's a better chance of Paulie being KO'd again with a victory here as he'll probably served as fodder to someone like Brook.
No, Sam isn't that bad, and he was impressive against Gavin, who's around Paulie level at this point, Eggington is too big for Paulie, he's 5'11 with a longer reach, and has nothing to fear coming back at him, I think he walks Paulie down and stops him, at the very least make it close if it goes the distance, and Hearn is pushing him big, he's still only 23, he's pretty popular in certain parts of the UK, so I doubt Paulie gets the decision there. As far as his loss to Skeete, that's no big deal, Skeete beat Gavin by a wide margin as well, and got robbed, Bradley is boring as whale**** but he is talented.
I could see him winning a decision by outlasting the older man yeah. You think he's higher than British level? Gavin and Skeete are British level guys themselves.
I think his power is legit and slightly above British level, skillwise he's British level, but at this point so is Paulie. It'll probably be close at the time of the stoppage or the final bell regardless.
I take it by your non-responses @drenlou or @kirk don't want to bet on the Thurman vs Garcia fight? Then how about GGG vs Jacobs either of you guys want to bet on that one? I'll take Jacobs.
Just in case you are interested, I'd be up for betting on the Thurman vs Garcia fight. I've got Thurman.
Definitely am interested, just have to get a answer one way or another from dren or kirk, because I want to either give kirk a chance to win his cash back or dren wanted to bet last week but my money was already tied up with kirk. If neither wants to, I'll take your bet, my original offer to either man was on the Thurman vs Garcia fight where I was taking Garcia, so if dren or kirk aren't interested in either fight, then sure I'll take Garcia.
