Good stuff, thanks for the thoughts.

In my opinion John Ryder has been matched far tougher than Etches if you really look into their records. Even say rugged Argentinian scrapper Billi Facundo Godoy, whom Ryder finished off with one of the prettiest counters from 2015. Godoy split fights with current world champion Jorge Sebastian Heiland, and knocked him down. Can Etches say he has anything like that kind of quality, B/C level as it is?

The level of incompetency Etches showed against Khom was comical. He basically did everything wrong. Slow feet feet, hands down all the time, chin straight up in the air, easy to hit clean with almost every punch in the book, no upper body movement at all, doesn't bend at the waist, easily countered, brings back his jab low, couldn't cut off the ring one bit, and seems to have very poor durability. Check out a good copy of his fight with Khom, he's rattled multiple times, among them in the first round. Then he gets nearly killed with one punch.

Lets be honest. I like Khom and his upsets as much as the next guy but he was 40 years old when he beat Etches. Nick Blackwell was really getting to him late in their 6 round match and looked to be on his way to stopping him. Then we have Ryder beating Khom in a close fight. They just look to be at different levels to be.

Sure, Ryder fell short of expectations but he doesn't fight fighters who are paid to lay down in civic halls and high school gyms like Etches.

    Don't know why I'm rambling.

I hope at least one person watches this and echos that Etches is **** poor, and that I'm not crazy. This is the "improved" Etches from his last fight.

I forgot about that @Russell, that's the same Zoltan Sera that got the living f*** knocked out of him by Plant in a round I think.

It's crazy, Zoltan looks like that crazy debuting 90's fighter, in a fight that seemed like something out of America's funniest home videos. But Zoltan's actually landing on this Etches. I can't remember the fighters name. Anyway...

The best punch Etches lands on him during the entire fight is when Zoltan's arm is twisted painfully backwards by the ropes and Zoltan is sitting there complete helpless duck, completely open. It lands flush, and Zoltan is fine! I'm befuddled at the records these UK "puncher" prospects attain the records they do.

Mostly by literally "importing" their fighters from the likes of Ghana, Argentina, and many of the poorer South American and European countries. Guys with hard, more than likely physically exhausting jobss. They take their fights on a few days notice at best. These guys are the fabled TBD you always see on boxrec. Real good names to have on your resume on the way up, savvy matchmaking.

Then he see him wearing his knee brace into the ring for the pr-prepared Odelandier Solis "mah knee!" feeble fight excuse. Just a surreal fight.
