"No disrespect to Brook, hes a phenomenal champion, but... I just knew the size difference was going to be the deciding tell, but now you have a true middleweight.... taller, longer, and strong.... and now were going to see what hes really made of" Daniel Jacobs I like it.
As much as I loved The Neon Demon, and considered it the best film of 2016, it got replaced today, I just finished watching Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton, it was a beautiful movie, I loved every second of it, its an underrated (should have been nominated) masterpiece, if you haven't seen it Pinoy or any of the rest of you, check it out, same for you Bustajay, but be warned there's more eye related yuckiness.
^ Zootopa was my #1 this year. Not too many great ones. I don't usually like Disney, Pixar stuff but ZT really was top notch.
2016 was a bad year for my taste in movies. If talking non documentaries, there were maybe... a handful of movies I really liked, the only two standing out this year to me is probably Hell or High Water, and Hacksaw Ridge.
Not a huge cartoon fan, I usually skip all o them, even the well made Pixar stuff, Zootopia had the stink of propaganda to it, even its title reeks of it, and I say that as an economic socialist, maybe I'll check it out on a rainy day though. Terrible year, I put together a list on your old thread a week or two ago, I hadn't given it much thought but just looking at my list it really stood out how shoddy it really was. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (just added) The Neon Demon Knight Of Cups The Shallows Blood Father X-Men Apocalypse Gods Of Egypt Star Trek Beyond Deadpool The Purge: Election Year Batman vs. Superman Allegiant Kickboxer: Vengeance The Mechanic: Resurrection Alice Through The Looking Glass Captain America: Civil War I just got done doing a Herculean compilation of all the Sci-Fi films coming out next year, maybe Hollywood's trying to make up for it disappointing showing this year. http://www.x-boxing-forum.com/showthread.php/3051-Could-2017-Be-The-Best-Year-For-Sci-Fi-Movies-Ever
Has anyone seen The Martian? It's coming on HBO right now, and I'm trying to decide whether to watch it or Arguello vs Tam. Is The Martian worth the time?
Martian is decent, pedestrian. Nothing that spectacular about it. For your question - No. If you have something else to watch, watch that first.
