Wohooo I am the crowning king champ! @KiwiMan @kirk thank you! I came from nowhere and stole the cup from the big sharks!!!
Im glad I made the changes. It was either change everything up or nothing. With that being said I was really bummed for Haye, when the fight vs Bellew was announced I thought that it was a tough test for Haye (looking at his 2 fights before). It was confusing talking to my group of 4-5 boxing buddies and all of them went with Haye with 99.99% confidence, and now that he lost hes being treated like a dog by some. Im glad I didnt bet any real money on Bellew or even get the pick right, that kind of treatment from the fans ruins it for me. Congratz Kirk, prssure's on you! Everyone is gunning for that spot you have.
You're obviously one of the busier users on here, rightfully so. There have been times you haven't had the time and honestly I don't want to contribute to that, considering you're not "invested" in betting regardless, and I'd literally constantly be hounding you. Like I said, I know you're willing but you've already got a ton on your plate. I know I can ask all I want, the issue (and reality) is getting an answer most of the time. A lot of the very good prediction posters have no interest or simply aren't around enough to answer much of anything. Bladerunner is supposedly leaving, and we've had other good posters move on as well, right? Even if some are interested in discussing this stuff, dozens of pages can quickly go by and not all posters are going to read through every single one, they'll just post their picks. That's why I wanted a separate discussion thread, to discuss this stuff and completely separate it from a very busy thread, but it was nuked. I'm not upset about it, but it cuts down my options, lol There was a period of time recently where I really pushed to get people talking about upcoming matches, usually in a betting capacity. Half the time I was legitimately talking to myself. You get a few one word answers and maybe one or two posters come through. I've actually been doing it on and off for years, as my betting has peaked and leveled out. Check out some of my created threads. Most from the past few years are all prediction related. half the time I was legitimately talking to myself. You get a few one word answers and maybe one or two posters come through. I still really do truly believe that a number of decent boxing fans who were willing to put the time and effort in could make some pretty damn good money together. So that's why this is mildly frustrating. Anyway, just a bunch of thoughts. Rant over.
Thank you Pab! And good job on the switches... Ya I dont get the treatment for Haye... dude fought his heart out til the end with one leg. Also Im impressed that you did think it would be a tough fight when practically everyone else thought it was gonna be a demolition job. You're a beast!
Why there aren't more people from this forum to participate in this fun league? I start to enjoy it so much, especially with theese huge upsets recently!!!
I think it could have been an easy fight if Haye took it seriously from the get go and didn't goof around early on.
Tread carefully. For the league could consume you, many bold travelers have fell victim to the league and it's grip. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-T1a-wPUvpNk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAABHQ/a5nUdMGTXmA/photo.jpg Here's a rare photo of me. I didn't look like this when I first joined the league.
Yeah I don't think Haye would have lost if he took rds 1 and 2 more seriously. Had he boxed then he probably would have gotten then KO around the 3-5th rounds. He appeared to be in a groove and in control before the unfortunate injury.
