Why is everyone going with Potapov ,

This fight being in the U.S, I think any close rounds will go to Nieves, and this is a tough match up for both.

Nieves might be too sleek and out hustle Potapov.

I just need to find Potapov vs Young.

 

The fight is in Michigan, Nieves is from Buckeye country. If someone gets the close rounds it will be the Russian born fighter fighting out of New York over the Buckeye

Regal is a legitimate tough guy who can actual catch wrestle. Really enjoyed watching him, had some success but I think he was deserving of a bigger push in the WWE.

 

Saw this earlier... Couldn't watch more than a round due to the way the frame was edited(obviously this is done to overcome copyright infringement etc.) but stuff like this on YT to infuriates me to no end, often I'll just avoid them all together and wait until an unedited one pops up somewhere.

i think you have a point, my reasoning for picking Potapov was that he has a win over Jason Canoy who is better than anyone Nieves has beaten. On the other hand, Potapov's record is padded with quite a lot of guys like the last two, 10-38-3 and 2-15-0.

W.r.t. the Young fights, both Potapov's and Nieves' draws were close fights / similar performances. I personally leant slightly towards Potapov and Nieves both winning their fights close, but both are available online for viewing if people are interested.

He's better than Roman Wanes will ever be. Stopped watching the WWE completely after being a lifetime fan of close to 35 years when I realized the Samoan Fabio was going to be the sole focus of Raw through my 40's.

 

I stopped watching after the Benoit tragedy. The watering and dumbing down of the WWE was understandable from a purely survival point of view, but that's where they lost me as a fan.

 

Punk and then Bryan were able to keep me watching after Beniot.
