WBK Rankings... Champion: @KiwiMan #1: @pablinov #2: @DanielDimov #3: @nellybc #4: @moparfan @Robney are you joining in ?? Does anybody else want to join in the fun for the WBK contests All you have to do is make your specific picks on certain fights and job done...
@KiwiMan do you want to remind of the rules/scoring we want to implement for WBK ? Cheers Edit-Found the below I know. There are some other differences too, e.g. in the WBK if you both pick the wrong fighter it's a 10-10 round, whereas in crowning it was a win for whoever's prediction was closer. I do think a panel of those interested in the WBK should look at updating the rules, simplifying and clarifying certain aspects such as this. Other things to consider are: 1. Whether we should change to a format more like Crowning, i.e. consider the results as a spectrum: Draw->SD->MD->UD close->UD wide->late KO->early KO, and: a. the predictions are in three groups (SD/MD/TD, UDs, KOs). If you predict the correct group and your opponent does not, you win the round. b. otherwise, whoever is closer wins 10-9 except for instant KOs; c. all decisions are closer to other decisions than KOs/TKOs and DQs. 2. Handling of technical decisions and disqualifications. The former is always somewhat controversial, and the latter is not covered by the current rules as far as I can see. The league handles it as a KO/TKO, but do instant KOs occur from DQs? 3. Knockdowns: KO round missed by only 1, or opponent picks the wrong fighter while you pick the correct fighter. What if both occur? Is this a double KD round, or just a 10-8? Should exact predictions on UD close / UD wide be rewarded with knockdowns, seeing that exact SD/MD/Draw predictions are instant KOs? Should predictions of SD, result MD, or vice versa, get a knockdown instead of just 10-9? 4. It might be helpful for new competitors to have a summary of the ways to win by instant KO, which are, by my count: SD, MD, any kind of draw, exact KO round.
This is what we have to edit: WBK - Kirk League's Belt WBK winner is determined in a 12 Rounds(Predictions) Head to Head face-off between two posters. Each round is a scheduled fight, whoever picks that round the most accurately, wins the WBK round. WBK General Rules: *WBK Mandatory is determined by the first to Challenge* *If there is more then one Challenger the next WBK Mandatory will be settled in a WBK Eliminator between #1ST CHALLENGER and #2ND CHALLENGER* *If there are more than 3 Challengers a WBK Voluntary defense will be awarded to the winner between #3RD CHALLENGER and 4TH CHALLENGER* *WBK Eliminator & WBK Voluntary must have at least 8 Rounds. 2nd and 4th CHALLENGER has to claim his chance before the 5TH Round of the ongoing Title Fight has started.* - You can protect your pick by sending it in a PM to me.
