I'm by nature a negative pessimistic person, so when things go horribly awry, I have zero ability to think positively. I did what I usually do, take action try stem the tide, and sit back and survey the fallout and pick up the pieces. Mercifully I think everything has calmed down and the damage isn't as extensive as it could have been. And I managed to play three plumbing companies off of one another and someone offered to do it for 280, then I talked my way into another company cutting back to 240. So my wheeling and dealing skills haven't eroded that much.
I'm more into boxing than ever as of late, but more and more distant from the forums. I go long periods without posting anything, just lurking, and sometimes wonder if there's any point being a hardcore fan in such a mess of a forum. When you want to debate the technical side of boxing, or make educated predictions... the last thing you want to have to do is wade through the same garbage threads about the same thing everyday. Always trying to find those quality 15% of posters, or whatever narrow number it is. It's discouraging. I don't come to boxing forums to get stuck in the middle of a lame internet race flame battle.
Random Highlights lol.... Maybe its just me, but I don't think Gamboa gets enough credit for this performance. He was completely outsized yet was giving as good as he got early on, not sure if he got tired or cocky but he started trying to stand his ground and be bold too much as the rounds went on, which is when Crawford was able to capitalize. Not many other fighters of Gamboas stature would do better than that against Crawford though, imo. Was a fun fight. This content is protected
