Hi guys. I'm here to inform you all that I'm quitting the league and the forum from this moment on and convert to a casual. I'm sick of the biased judging, officionating and even gloating about something that is clearly unfair. I've already said it here a couple of months ago when I got fed up by all the sh_t in boxing, and last weekend actually pushed me over the edge. Boxing is rotten to the core, and has been for as long as I can remember. A lot of juicers out there that don't get shamed for not being VADA enrolled, as I expected when that got implemented either. Boxing is still a mess without any oversight and consistancy.Even if all the fights that ended in controversy this year got overturned for some reason, my decision stays (I would be a good boxing judge). The Rigondeaux fight majorly pissed me off, certainly looking at the recent Dirrell fight and the obvious "I know I probably have to DQ him, but I don't want to" from Drakulich. The first shouldn't be a DQ, and no KO either, but a clear as day NC. It has been discussed to death already, and it all comes down to the punch being part of a combo thrown before the bell, with the last one landing just after. So NC! The second should have been a DQ, based on that it started with two deliberate fouls, putting Flores in that position and then when the referee broke them up threw an landed the next one after the bell and the break. So Flores looking like he was pulling a Dirrell, knowing a DQ had to follow tried to play the system like many before him. Only he wasn't the big name and got an after the bell KO loss after Vic nervously trying to prevent making the right call for the situation. At best you can agree with a NC, which is kinda fair for Flores faking, but giving him the KO1 win on a 3 foul in a row after the bell KO, and ruling the exact opposite for a situation where the circumstances were purely unintentional and just a victim of the situation, clearly shows bias for the big name/home fighter. And we all know that isn't the first and the last time either. After this I already knew that we would get another controversy in the main event, either with the home judges scoring, a biased home referee, a wrong called KO or KD, or DQ... whatever. And of course we didn't get dissapointed. Turned out the judges were quite on the level this time around, scoring it pretty much how I saw it. Only the fight being very different as I expected. Couple of grabs and fouls that didn't get called... predictable, and not such a big deal. The usual suspects in the RbR with their completely biased scorecards, in which I saw 6 to 1 for both fighters as I recall correctly... again, no big deal. Nobody takes posters like that seriously anyway. Up until the 8th happened, and Kovalev getting hurt when suddenly everything went trough the gutter. NOT KOVALEV GETTING HURT! But the clusterf**k that happened right after. 1) You don't stop a fight like that unless you're British, in Britain and the British fighter is having his opponent in trouble. 2) You can't stop a fight ending on a foul! Because then, everything what happened before should get nullified. Even when you have your opponent out on his feet and falling down, or even on the floor. A foul at that point should NEVER win you the fight. I don't care if you won every single round before that, and the last shot wasn't even needed for the same effect. If your last shot is a foul, the fight should be stopped and your opponent gets 5 minutes to recover. Kovalev looked like he was close to done. But that doesn't mean the referee should pull a British stoppage, combined with ignoring the foul completely. The thing is, we know that these things only get handled according to the rules if it happens to the home/featured fighter. Only in a few cases the rules get applied the right way when it's in the big(ger) name's disadvantage. The RJJ disqualification comes to mind, but it hardly ever happens. That has always rubbed me the wrong way in boxing. Like the scoring that in so many cases is merely like "close round, give it to the homie", "homie is in trouble, we'll give him this round too otherwise he might lose", "this is getting tight, let's give this one to the homie too... on ring generalship". All in all it's about the rules. They're getting bend all over and usually in favor of the home or bigger neme fighter. Boxing too unfair, and basically it takes the fun out of it for me. Let a fighter win properly and lose properly, within the rules in a normal way, without the officionating f-ing things up! I've figured that's too much to ask. I want to see a fight with a normal conclusion, even if that means I see a boxer I like getting knocked out of the ring in spectaculair fashion. That's why I WAS a boxfan! Not this sh_t over and over again, in which everything clearly comes to "as long as the fighter we want to win wins by any means, then it's ok". To end this rant, I get to the worst part of being on a boxing forum as things like this happen. You get a couple of boxfans that like me, just want it to be fair and it doesn't matter if that means a favorite of them loses, or even a fighter that they don't like wins, as long as it's fair. But there are too many here who only care about their favorite fighters winning, by any means, and then gloating over it. Some even seem to like it being by controversial means because then they can claim "excuses" if officionating f-ed up again, so they can bully other bitter posters with it. This ends my rant and my time here as a (very) regular poster. All that's left is saying goodbye to you guys although I might forget a couple, so sorry in advance. @kirk @Rumsfeld @UnleashtheFURY @CST80 @KiwiMan @IntentionalButt @McGrain @Boxed Ears @lufcrazy @drenlou @Odins beard @pincai @Sugar 88 @N17 @Drinquor @theanatolian @nellybc @pablinov @DanielDimov @PinoyProdigy @jordan1 @FIGHTER2R @David B @Oneirokritis @PaddyGarcia @Drew101 @lepinthehood and @everyone I might have forgotten.

WBK is just a branch off from the main prediction league where posters go head to head against each other with more in-depth and specific picks. Nothing more than that. Shout if you want to get involved... Page 271 for the rules and scoring
Sounds good to me... I'm competitive so you don't need to ask me twice! I'll check the rules out now... Thanks btw!
@Robney that sucks man! You are way longer than some of us here in the forum. I am already tired as a fan from the unfairness in the boxing. I was really pissed off from the way that the fight ended. If you check the league predictions, no one said Ward by a KO, he just doesn't have the power to do it. I am still disapointed to see so many people saying that Ward won cleanly. I hated the most Stevenson, but now Ward is on the top of my list. I had the fight 4:3 for Kovalev, before the stoppage and wasn't surprised that two of the judges were scoring it for Ward. It was so stinky again. American judges in Las Vegas... I've been in Vegas and it's all about the crazy money there. This fight made someone rich as ****. Too much corruption in the US... For sure I won't ever wake up at 4 or 5 am to watch a fight staged in America. I was super motivated to watch boxing after the Joshua - Klitschko, but now everything died again. Cheers man, wish ya all the best, hope you would at least reconsider about the league... just post some picks from time to time. This is the best thread ever made in this forum and you can tell it because there are no trolls in it. I really hope more people will join it so we can keep up the good numbers and the good manners here. I really admire what @kirk has done here and for how long it is kept alive!
Hope you reconsider man... The sport can be a ***** sometimes, but it's always been that way and I think we as fans just need to bite the bullet and continue on. If this the end... Cheers and thanks for the good posts!
