    Who am I kidding, Alvarado was getting lit up and looking close to being stopped against old Brazilian he KO'd.

    Nope, not only me, but IntentionalButt is going with her too, and since the fight was first rumored. Shields should have lost the Gabriels match, Hammer's jab is going to give her fits.

    Also it should be noted, Gabriels who dropped her, is a tiny Light Middleweight, Hammer is a big Middleweight, my only concen is if it goes the distance, which it might, they might rob Christina.:ohno

    another point in my thinking was it was going to the cards and it would end up being SD or MD - could they call a draw to save shields if she was getting beat ?? Money talks and shields sells ?? Crazy politics time...

    There's a lot of politics in this one, more so than usual, because the networks have decided Shields is to be the woman who makes women's boxing popular, for political reasons. So I have a hard time seeing her lose a decision here.

    One huge worry I have with Barboza, he got dropped hard by Chicas in the 5th and got hurt pretty badly by him in the 7th. Barboza might be packing glass, and that's not a good thing against Mike. There is a possibility if he can't hurt Mike, that he gets stopped late, he is suscepible to rights. Which is why I went with Mike initially. I still might switch back, I'm still mulling it over.

    I have no idea what preceded or proceeded it, i just know i saw a boxer getting worked over and wilting on the ropes, the ref stopped it. and for some reason i could hear the commentator and he said "and Barboza gets the big stoppage over Alvarado"......so yes, i concur lol.
