Pretty weak weekend of fights across the board. Not too excited for any of the matches for the UFC(Guida/Miller scratches a certain itch) and there's a slight chance Lawler clips that douche Covington but I doubt it. a ton of mismatches and just non-interest fights in general.

August is usually a weak month for boxing.

Yeah. Heats up usually in September. The UFC on the other hand usually has strong cards. They do get better as the month goes on, but enough to redeem several poor back to back cards? IDK.....

You probably won't give a **** what I say but I think it's unfair to blame your inability to climb the rankings on the fights listed that you don't agree with and a handful of fights that could have been listed,it is hard to stay motivated in long tipping comps like this especially as you slip further out of contention.
Fighters and promoters are taking safety first options which is why there is so many mismatches in big fights that are always going to be included in the picks like every other year.
What are the many competitive fights this weekend that could have been added this week, there was only 2 or 3 that I could see ?

I miss the league and I don't. It's been great for my sanity not participating and I enjoy the sport more(I quit prediction leagues, betting altogether) but there's that devil in the other ear telling me to come back next year..... Apparently researching matches for hours on end, sniping picks in last minute and being stressed over a virtual league that's just for fun is good fun to him. Anyways. My advice to you is to go with your head. If you're getting stressed and it preoccupies too much time then it may be good to give it a break/quit.

The more I think about it, the more I think Arreola has a chance at the upset. Even this version of Chris is still probably the best fighter Kownacki has faced. Maybe you can place Martin ahead of Arreola but I'm not so sure. Yes, Arreola has lost his big fights but he's also faced Vitali Klitschko, Wilder, and Stiverne (not a great fighter but had Arreola's number. It happens in boxing). Martin scalped the title off a guy Arreola would have beat too (Glazkov) and than got completely dominated by AJ. Arreola has never lost that bad in his career. His loss to Adamek could have also been ruled a draw but Chris is to blame for that fight, he came in heavier back in 2010 (251.5 pounds) than he did for this fight (244 pounds).

Now maybe none of this matters since Chris is 38 and quite possibly shot. However, I think Kownacki is getting overrated for scraping by Martin and blowing out Gerald Washington who is nothing more than a gatekeeper. And in the Martin fight, Martin was putting hands on Kownacki. It's possible Arreola lands those same shots and puts Adam's lights out. Well that's my hope anyways. I guess if it goes past about the sixth round, Kownacki's workrate will probably overwhelm Arreola.

I'm rolling with my man Chris for my prediction and putting some $ down at +1200, which is crazy given he is fighting Kownacki and not Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.

Challenge with my Kato UD pick

I had a challenge last week but seeing as nobody else seems to be picking him, I can bypass the rule right?
