Yes.
If two guys having same difference ....
1. Number of fights picked throughout the year
2. KO ratio / number

It's a good rule.

Some guys in here avoid picking some close 50/50 fights. So they're not losing a pick. they get punished for the ***** attitude.

Somebody who knows the rules better then me will be able to explain better obv but in that example It would have to be based on having more wins wouldn't it,would seem unfair to place somebody with less picks higher?

I think it'd make more sense if number of KO's took precedence. It's an accomplishment as far as "prediction" goes to have more KO's while the other sounds more fit to be a tie-breaker when everything else is the same.

Moreover I think it's a bad strategy to skip pick'em fights. There's almost always a (51-49 kind of) slight favorite in those fights and math dictates that people who pick the favorite will always be advantageous in the long run compared to those who skip those fights.

 

I'm not sure why a missed pick doesn't automatically get a loss tbh

 

Ranking is based on:
1. # of wins - # of losses
2. # of wins
3. # of KOs

So in your example:
1. # of wins - # of losses = 244
2. # of wins MI=347 CN=345

We have had this debate over the years, and a missed pick, percentage wise, will hurt the participant more than it will help them. Generally all of the participants have a correct prediction percentage of somewhere between 70-80%.
Also, the league has a long history with many years of statistics and we do not want to shake up future records by making such a dramatic change.

 

Yeah that's fair enough I can totally understand what your saying about missed picks still hurting the participant and about changing the rules having a negative effect on stats and records.
I could just see scenarios for example at the end of the year where not putting in picks in a couple of 50/50 being more beneficial and potentially help move up in the rankings
