I think it's a problem that a person researches a lesser known fight, takes a risk to try and get ahead only for the person in front of them to tactically switch to same pick. There's not really much skill involved in that, and it's very frustrating. I think a league with anonymous picks would eliminate a lot of problems like this, and in the end be based more on skill and boxing knowledge.


Obviously it would have to be run and updated by someone who wasn't playing, or at the very least not involved competitively. That's an obvious issue lol.


I don't expect the league to be changed to follow this format, it's just a suggestion and a bit of food for thought.

 

First of all, a fellow league CHAMPION's perspective is always appreciated. Thank you for that.

The "open scoring" has always been something I've both appreciated and disliked at the same time. However, I do greatly appreciate the benefit of transparency in the scoring. I want to make sure all my updates can be challenged with appropriate evidence.

As for me, I have always picked based on multiple factors, and i can't ever remember making a pick based off of someone else's pick. To be a league champion you have to get the best record, and you cannot do that by copying someone else.
