Surprised more people aren’t going for Maxwell. Ennis-Brown has no power and looks nervous at the weigh in, very emotionally invested in the fight which will play into Maxwell’s hands.

Same with the Russian fight, Gasanov is a lot more experienced than his opponent and has fought many more rounds. He’s lost to top tier guys like Bolotniks, Vlasov, Salamov etc and is coming off a win against an unbeaten prospect.

Only problem is that he has a glass chin.

Good observation, although some of our picks will differ.
There are at least four 50-50 fights.

Beware that Ahmed is the champ and the fight is at his hometown.
Baranchyk also doesn’t have the home advantage and who knows coming off that devastating knock out.
Brown-Maxwell.. activity vs power, tough to predict.
Kediev-Gasanov.. power vs experience.. can go either way basically.

 

I agonized over the Maxwell, Gasanov, and Baranchyk picks.

It's frustrating that so many picks are less about styles and more about "is this guy still who he was before the chaos?"
