Pretty clear 29-28 for Mana? Cannetti landed 57% of his sig. strikes in Round 2 compared to Manas 47%. They both landed equal amount of sig. strikes in R2. Cannetti was absolutely battering the legs of Mana in both R1 and R2. There was nothing clear about Mana winning R2. Nothing. And Alvey vs. Turman was a fight with a close Round 1. And because of the two point deductions in Round 3 28-27 Alvey isn't an odd score at all if you score R1 for him. It's actually the same score i had because of R1. But you can give all three rounds to Turman. Turman finished well in R1 with the TD and some flurries but overall that was a razor close swing round.
The significant strike count in round 2 was close, (24 vs 23 in favour of Mana) but he also pressed forward throughout the entire round while Guido was constantly backing up, and visibly starting to tire. Those UFC stats are often pretty misleading too, aside from being subjective and often pretty far off the actual mark, not all significant strikes are created equal. The leg kicks were in favor of Guido that round (11 vs 5), but the body shots were also lopsided in favour of Mana (11-4). That fight was a $2600+ swing for me, so I definitely wanted Guido to pull it out, but I was very confident he lost the fight. I was honestly really surprised one judge gave it to Guido, not so much that it was Adalaide Byrd though. I also don’t see how a strong case can be made for Alvey winning any round. He landed some decent counters in round 1, but got backed up and pressed against the fence like he always does, getting out worked there, before giving away any small lead he may have had late. Same thing with round 3, which he was winning up until the deductions, before Turman turned up the heat to close out the fight. Regardless, 2 out of 3 judges, along with 11 out of 13 media members scored the Mana fight the same way I did, which was for Mana over Guido. Same thing with Turman over Alvey. You and Adalaide Byrd are both in the small minority of people who scored those fights for the loser.
You don't have to explain me how MMA scoring works and how significant strikes are created. I'm betting on MMA for about 8 years now and i was on the wrong side of many bad decisions over the years. I bet Mana Martinez last night in a parlay with Bryan Battle at +122. I was pretty confident that Mana lost that fight and it was sweaty af. So what? I don't care about MMA media and other institutions. The fight came down to R2 and R2 was close. I had it pretty clear 29-28 for Cannetti. You had it 29-28 for Mana. I don't care man. Why are you even discussing it with me? I won my bet you lost your bet so i'm super happy. Alvey fight was a different thing tho. R1 was an absolute swing round. If you want to tell me Turman won R1 clearly you're insane. If you look at the complete fight there is no way Alvey won but with the two point deductions and the close R1 there is a case for Alvey winning R1 and getting a 9-8 in R3 so yeah 28-27 Alvey is a reasonable scorecard. Get a real life man and don't waste my ****ing time. Time to put a clown like you on my ignore list before i waste more time discussing stupid things with an ALT account.
