It was odd to see him trying to take the mic with these big ass gloves.

Yeah, he did well for himself, controversial figure, not sure if it’s an act or real but it did bring him lots of spectators.
I was rooting for him early on, you know being brash and not but it soon wear off since he content to stay and milk it in Oz.

 

Yeah during his time as a league player he wasnt anything like the controversial character he became probably until the last year or so when he falsely started using the race card as reason he wasnt picked in representative teams.
I also never really rooted against him until like you said it was clear he was happy to stay here and milk the aussie public and talk **** about fighting Mayweather etc which was never going to happen.
He was so divise here with many watching his fights hoping to see him get KTFO and with his personality and the **** he talked etc he likely could have got himself into some bigger money fights in the states or britain
