I watch Shaw brothers and Wushu movies in general for the fighting choreography and their general absurdity. Westerns have better drama, acting and usually scenery. As a whole Westerns are usually objectively better made movies but most us are watching Shaws brothers flicks for the choreography and ridiculousness so that's kind of moot.

There's a ton of free Wushu movies on Youtube now. Uploaded normally with no BS filters to bypass copyright infringement. I guess the copyright for a lot of these expired/and or those in possession don't give a damn.

Lol, ever hear of any of Lucio Fulci's westerns like Massacre Time, one of the original films to use slow motion, & "bullet time", starring original Spaghetti western star Franco Nero, who also played the legendary spaghetti western hero Django? Have you seen any of the several movies in the Django series?

How about Cut Throats Nine, an early spaghetti considered to be one of the nastiest and most nihilistic ever? Big Tarantino influencer, just like my next movie.

How about one of the most highly regarded and yet still obscure spaghetti's ever, starring demented German actor Klaus Kinski, and one of my favorite films, The Great Silence?

How about Bad Company with Jeff Bridges, probably one of the most unheralded and yet greatest American made films of the 70's, yet alone a western, of a decade known for nothing but legendary films?

The Life and Times of Roy Bean?

    Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

Don't **** with me with movies, man, that's the war even you'll never win. That's my singular winning front in life. There's no need to talk about the mainstream stuff like anything starring Clint Eastwood or done by Leone, Yuma, Unforgiven, Bone Tomahawk, anything even remotely recent, blahblah, because that's easy, baby steps bull****

I own Massacre Time, Four Of The Apocalypse, the entire Django series, The Great Silence, Life And Times Of Roy Bean, The Trinity Series, Bullet For The General, Keoma, Death Rides A Horse, Companeros, Today We Kill Tomorrow We Die, Bad Company, and probably any other Spaghetti Western you can throw at me on DVD.:deal:

By the way, seek out Fulci's Four Of The Apocalypse if you've missed it, its one of his best and one of the genres best.

I'm assuming most of the people on this thread are just "starters", but yeah, I've seen more Chiba films than I can count.

When I was a kid they had Kung Fu cinema on our local UHF stations, yes I'm that old. And every Saturday there was a double feature that I'd sit and watch like a maniac, they also threw in a lot of Toho stuff as well, so all in all I've probably seen somewhere in the vicinity of 2 or 300 Asian films from the 70's and 80's, maybe more, so unfortunately they all kind of merge together in my mind, whereas most Spaghetti Westerns are somewhat distinct and I can separate them enough to judge each one of them on their own merits as opposed to a whole.

That's awesome. Why haven't I known before now that you're such a movie buff? My first ****ing free email address when I was like 10 was bmoviebuff...

Haven't seen cut throats nine though I see! I'd have to go look through my IMDB reviews page to see what more obscure stuff I've seen. Can't believe you mentioned Keoma though, talk about a tripped out and uh.... bit over the top soundtrack. Not that it doesn't have it's charms...

I recently got this massive Fulci documentary with several hours of content, all people that worked with the man doing one on one interviews about their experiences. Man was such a genius. He churned out some poo when he didn't have the proper time to make a film (Stuff like Conquest is mediocre) but movies like Don't Torture a Duckling, Zombie, New York Ripper, even House by the Cemetary are great....

I'm in particular a devotee of Italian Horror, not only do I have all of the Fulci films you listed, but I also own, The Devil's Honey, One On Top Of The Other, The Smuggler, The House Of Clocks, Demonia, Lizard In A Woman's Skin, Cat In The Brain, Murder To The Tune Of 7 Black Notes, Aenigma, Murder Rock, Door Into Silence, Voices From Beyond, The Eroticist, I basically have every Fulci action and horror film ever made, with the exception Of Dracula Of The Provinces, which enrages me that I can't find. Fulci is one of the finest film makers Italy has ever produced. And Don't Torture A Duckling is his masterpiece.

I'm also a fanatic of Sergio Martino, Lamberto Bava, Michele Soavi, and f course Mario Bava and Dario Argento, I have a special spot in my heart for Joe D'Amato trash, same goes for Umberto Lenzi, Ruggero Deodato, Luigi Cozzi, Aldo Lado, Massimo Dallamano I could go on.
