It looks like we may see a doubleheader with Baranchyk vs Yigit and Prograis vs Postol on march 9th.

Veron UD, Petitjean UD, Mimoune UD, Kownacki KO, Browne KO, Easter Jr. UD, Spence KO

That Argentinian fight is interesting, in two minds about it a little. I do like Veron's style and felt he was growing into the fight before getting caught...might change my mind on that in the next few days if I get to rewatch the fight and do a few more things...

Also, quick question gents. I know for your WBK competition exact predictions matter...but does that apply to the regular league as well? As in is prediction xyz by KO given as a knockout if result is TKO? Similarly UD given as a knockout if result is SD or MD?

I'm sure there's a list of rules somewhere but I'm not the best at navigating the site since the place changed the layout!

    Cheers fellas.

Here are the rules if you are interested in joining Jake.
    WBK RULES & SCORING

Any thoughts or ideas are always welcome as we strive to get the best scoring system possible for head to head match ups.

Updated to include WBK pick must match league pick.

    WBK

WBK winner is determined in a predictions Head to Head face-off between two posters. Each round is a scheduled fight, whoever picks that round the most accurately, wins the WBK round.

    WBK General Rules:

Rankings and Fixtures are determined via the ELO system.

If the champion loses an interim 10 rounder, the title becomes vacant and the #1 and #2 ELO-ranked contenders fight it out.

    WBK Scoring Rules & Examples

If you pick the correct winner, and your opponent does not, you win the round 10-8

Mayweather vs Pacquiao - Mayweather Wins - Who picked Mayweather wins 10-8 and gains 1 knockdown

    --------------------------------------

If you pick the correct outcome of the winner, and your opponent does not, you win the round 10-9

TKO vs UD - Result UD - Who picks UD wins 10-9
TKO vs UD - Result TKO Who picks TKO wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

If both pick the same fighter by stoppage, the person who picked closest to the round the fight gets stopped in wins the round 10-9

    KovalevTKO6 vs KovalevTKO4 - Result TKO8 - Who picked TKO6 wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

If you pick a Points Decision (UD/MD/SD/TD) and the fight ends in a Decision of any type (Unanimous/Majority/Split/Technical) and your opponent had picked a TKO/KO, you win the round 10-9

TD vs TKO - Result UD - Who Picked TD(decision) wins 10-9
*note - they are closer to the result being decisions*

    --------------------------------------

If you pick a Close or Wide UD and your opponent picks SD/MD/KO and the result is a Techincal Unanimous Decision the one picking Close or Wide Decision wins 10-9.

UD vs SD/MD/KO - Result TUD - Who picked UD wins 10-9

UD vs SD/MD - Result TSD - Who picked SD wins via knockout unless your opponent has picked MD. If you picked MD then it will be a 10-9 round.

UD vs SD/MD - Results TMD - Who picked MD wins via knockout unless your opponent has picked SD. If you picked SD then it will be a 10-9 round.

    --------------------------------------

*note - SD prediction perfectly right will be awarded with a WBK KO due to high difficulty*
*note* SD rewarded with KO can only by countered by your opponent picking a Draw or a MD
*note - This applies if you pick a SD and result is MD and vice versa*
*note - Due to high difficulty of predicting a SD/MD your opponent loses the WBK fight via KO
    --------------------------------------
If you pick a Techincal Decision and your opponent picks SD/MD and the result is a Unanimous Decision the one picking Technical Decision wins 10-9

TD vs SD/MD - Result UD - Who picked TD wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

If you pick a MD and your opponent picks a SD and the fight ends as a UD, the one picking MD wins 10-9

MD vs SD - Result UD - Who picked MD wins 10-9
MD vs SD - Result Draw - Who picked SD wins 10-9
*note - Majority Decision is closer to Decisions, Split Decision is closer to Draw*

    --------------------------------------

If you pick a SD and your opponent picks a UD and the fight ends as a MD, the one picking SD wins 10-9

SD vs UD - Result MD - Then SD wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

If you pick a SD and your opponent picks a MD and the fight ends in a Draw, the one picking SD wins 10-9

SD vs MD - Result Draw - SD wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

If you pick any kind of Draw(split/Majority/Technical) and the fight ends as a Draw, it is an Instant KO

    --------------------------------------

If both guys got the prediction wrong the Round is a Draw 10-10

    --------------------------------------

When picking a UD, you must specify between WIDE or CLOSE

CLOSE or WIDE UD for 10 rounders: 6-4 (close); 7-3 (close); 8-2 (wide); 9-1(wide) 10-0(wide)

CLOSE or WIDE UD for 12 rounders: 5 point margin is equal to CLOSE UD. 117-111 is WIDE - 117 - 112 is CLOSE

*On 2 of the 3 judges cards*

    --------------------------------------

When picking a stoppage, if champion or challenger pick the correct round the stoppage happens in, it is an Instant KO

If you pick 1 round off from the round it was actually stopped in, you score a Knockdown and the round is scored 10-8. Unless both participants did, in which case its a draw round.

If you pick a stoppage (KO)

In the last 4 rounds of a 12 round Fight
In the last 2 rounds of a 10 round Fight
In the last round of a 8 round Fight

You can win the WBK round 10-9 if the result is a UD

    ex: KO12 vs KO7 - Result UD - Who picked KO12 wins 10-9 (12 Rounds)
    ex: KO10 vs KO5 - Result UD - Who picked KO10 wins 10-9 (10 Rounds)
    ex: KO8 vs KO7 - Result UD - Who picked KO8 wins 10-9 (8 Rounds)

*note- If both guys do it, the one getting closer to the last round wins 10-9

    ex: KO11 vs KO12 - Result UD - KO12 wins 10-9

    --------------------------------------

You can't pick the same KO Round as your opponent

First to pick a Round for a KO, steals that round away as an option from his opponent.

If the opponent who's picking second, a KO, doesn't pay attention and picks the same Round as his adversary, he will be given by default the next round in chronological order.

    --------------------------------------

You can't pick the same exact Decision as your opponent

First to pick the type of the UD (Close/Wide) or the Decision itself (Majority/Split/Technical) steals that option away from his opponent.

If the opponent who's picking second, the Decision, doesn't pay attention and picks the same type, he will be given by default the opposite choice (Wide-Close) (MD-SD)

If you get Knocked down 3 Times in a WBK fight you will lose via TKO

    --------------------------------------

If you miss a fight on the WBK schedule, it is considered a Knockdown and will be a 10-8 round against you.

If you miss 3 fights on the WBK schedule, you will lose the fight by TKO

If you forget to specify the outcome close or wide, split or majority, or the round which the TKO takes place and your opponent does. You will lose the round 10-9

    --------------------------------------

Your pick for the league must match your pick for the WBK (It is your duty to check this). If you end up with a different pick in the WBK when scoring the round you will lose the round 10-8 and suffer a knockdown.

    Example:

Fight: Nellybc vs Kiwiman - Result Nellybc wins via KO 7 or Kiwiman wins via WIDE UD

    League pick: Nellybc UD

WBK pick: Nellybc KO 7 or Kiwiman WIDE UD

You will lose the WBK Round 10-8 with 1 Knockdown against you even if Nellybc wins the fight via KO7 or Kiwiman wins the fight via WIDE UD.

No it doesn't matter. If you predict a SD or MD - both are the same for the normal league. Also it doesn't matter if it's going to be a TKO or a KO. The UD is UD.
