I despise the Mary Poppins moment as well, I literally cringed when that happened.

That's exactly the point I'm making haha. "Ruined Luke for me" it isn't necessarily about the character arc we want, more about the character arc there is. As a film it's good on its own merits. Putting the film on a par with Phantom Menace is by no means an insult as that was also a good film.

People wanted Luke to be this never say die hero, he isn't. He gave up and ran off. That's just the way it is whether people like it or not.

Leia has always had a connection with the force. Don't forget she managed to find the strength the strangle Jabba and she's connected with Luke over great distances before, I don't see the problem with it saving her in her hour of need.

Ren is the epitome of what he should be, a poor man's Darth Vader. Someone who will never live up to that mantle and hates everyone because of it.

As I said, solid film apart from the milk scene.

The character arc that was there was poor (I believe even Mark Hammill hated it). I certainly didn't want him to be a never say die hero but I didn't like what I watched.

The Phantom Menace is absolute trash.

I completely understand Leia's connection with the force... Doesn't make that scene any less cringey or BS.

That may be his whole thing... Still don't think it's pulled off very well and I think his acting is fairly poor (I feel the same with Rey and Finn)

I think it's only poor in comparison with ideals. He isn't the first hero to turn and walk away and he won't be the last.

I think star wars films, as a rule are better than none star wars films. By that I mean they're all amazing, they just aren't all Empire Strikes Back.

A bit like Marvel films, I think they're incredible. Ant man is one of the worst imo but it's still better than the average film.

The Last Jedi is an enjoyable cinematic experience even if it isn't as good as the other Star Wars films there's been.

Phantom Menace is well better than Clone Wars imo.

Ludicrous statement. There are hundreds of better movies than Star Wars/Marvel films. There are 2 or 3 really good Star Wars movies, the rest are sub standard... certainly not amazing.

Ant Man is far better than Iron Man 2/3, Thor 1/2, Incredible Hulk, Age of Ultron.

The Last Jedi is one of the worst movies I've seen in the last few years at the cinema and I go to see a lot of movies.

    WBK Rules & Scoring update...

The DQ rule is now implemented for WBK Series 11.

DQ will count as per KO/TKO/RTD / ( Bookmakers count a DQ in with KO/TKO/RTD ) I do not see any other way of scoring this result.

Round can be won 10-9 if against a UD and 10-8 if 1 round out and via KNOCKOUT if the correct round is chosen.

@PinoyProdigy would you prefer if the rule below was reversed ??

*note - Majority Decision is closer to Decisions, Split Decision is closer to Draw*

to read " SD vs MD " "Majority Decision is closer to DRAW , Split Decision is closer to Decisions"

Any thoughts or ideas are always welcome as we strive to get the best scoring system possible for head to head match ups.

** FEB2018 ** Updated to include SD or MD wins on the result being a draw against a UD or KO
