Remember the weird supernatural cult/incest Myers thing they did towards the rollover of the century?

Always got a hearty lol out of the Halloween flick where he gets chased by hillbillies with guns and dynamite, whom blow his ass down a river... He gets saved by some hobo and nursed back to health. Just terrible stuff. I'm having flashbacks of renting the garbage later Halloween flicks back in the 90's now, even remembering what the covers look like...

My God that annoyed the living **** out of me. I wanted to punch someone in the face after seeing part 6, I actually got to see part 4 in the theaters and loved it, both Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell were huge childhood crushes of mine, but then along part 5, which completely took the momentum they built up in 4 and blunted it, regardless, I was intrigued by the end of part 5 regardless, so I waited with baited breath patiently and waited and waited and waited, 7 years when you're a kid is an eternity, and out comes part 6,, and I went in hoping to get some answers, and it answered nothing, Danielle didn't even return and it ended up being one of the most disappointing film going experiences of my life, alongside Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs. Predator.

Man, when you think about it, Halloween fans have been getting the shaft for a long time. Remember in the third one where they just went in a completely different direction and had some giant evil corporate entity selling possessed Halloween masks that kill whoever is wearing one... Imagine being a huge fan of the first two and stumbling into the theater and paying for that one.

I experienced that rage first hand, the reason I begged my parents into taking me to see Halloween 4 in the theaters, is because I'd become a massive fanboy watching the first 3 on my local UHF stations, they'd repeat them non stop, edited for television of course, I fell madly in love with Halloween 1 and 2, I taped them on VHS and watched them over and over again, like kids watched Disney movies. Yes I was a deranged kid.:D But I remember when it came time to watch part 3 on TV (like around 86 or 87), I was confused as I could be, it pissed me off big time, which is the reason I hold such fond memories of Part 4, because it was "The Return Of Michael Myers" that being said, I get why John Carpenter made Halloween 3 what it was in retrospect, because he'd killed off Michael, because he felt the storyline had been exhausted, well, he was right. They should have left him dead after part 2. Anyway, he wanted to make a new Halloween film every year or two, writing and producing, that dealt with a new unrelated to Myers story, kind of like True Detective and American Horror Story style, but Halloween 3 went over so poorly, they bailed on the idea. Which is a pity, because NOW, I do hold part 3 in high regard, if taken as a stand alone Halloween film, that John intended.

I don't think it's a bad film either, but if you were a fan of what had already been established and were expecting more of the same you were more than likely nearly deranged levels of confused and angry at the sudden change.

Ever get into the Slumber Party Massacre series, or Sleepaway Camp? They also had Silent Night Deadly Night which had several sequels. ****in' Puppet Master had like 10 films.

Sleepaway Camp I might have one of the greatest shock endings of all time and if I could get away with it I'd post it just to catch people off guard.

Also, does anyone know anything about young Spainard/power punching southpaw Kerman Lejarraga? He's undefeated and taking on Skeete this weekend, and is only a narrow 2-1 underdog even though he's never had a fight on this "level" before.

Timo Schwarzkopf is only a 3-1 dog against Chris Van Heerden, and I know nothing about him either even though he's getting respect from the bookies. Anyone seen the man before?

Yeah, it was jarring as hell at first. It took me years to get over my initial resentment and shock and learn to love it for what it was, not what I wanted it to be.

I own all three franchises, I loved the Puppet Master films, especially the score, I even got a doll, carved the face up and got some black electrical tape and tried to make myself my own Blade figure. Goddamn Sleepaway Camp, that movie ****ed me up, in fact now that I think about it, that's probably where my bizarre fascination with shemales came from.:ohno:lol: The Silent Night Deadly Night franchise is completely worthless beyond part 1 and 2.

Damn, we're covering all sorts of territory now!

Speaking of she-males, ever seen Pink Flamingo's? ATG funniest scene with a pre-op women flopping her ding dong around to a staring pervert trying to masturbate to her from a distance...

Hmm, staying on the subject of horror flicks... how about Razorback, the one set in the Australian outback about that giant ass hog that's big enough to eat people alive? That's a really solid, underrated horror flick in my opinion.

Creepshow is a great stylized "series" I would have loved to see a few more 80's installments of... Love the scene with the blob on the raft and the horny teenagers...

Yeah, unfortunately I did, and that was enough to completely repulse me to them. I can only stomach the pretty girly looking ones, the Blaire White types. The majority are vile monstrous grotesqueries.

Seen Razorback a few times, never was a a huge fan, for some reason it didn't click or me, not enough of the actual razorback, but if we stay on the subject of killer animal movies, I could list a mountain of them, Shakma is brilliant, its the one with the people trapped in a highrise with a killer baboon. Frogs is amazing, maybe one of my all time favorites, it has Sam Elliot in it and its on a Louisiana plantation with Ray Milland, and nature turns on them, and the whole house hold gets killed by various reptiles. Same goes for Squirm where a town is overrun by earthworms, its vile, but amazing. Slugs is solid too.

It always pissed me off that they stopped at 2 Creepshow films, they could have milked that franchise for years, I love the Leslie Nielsen segment fro the 1st the most.

Timo is solid as well, I think his chances are being written off way to easily, he has a solid jab, and shouldn't be discounted, in fact I'm considering switching to him myself.

Ever seen Chopping Mall, The Toxic Avenger series (Or anything else Troma) the first few Piranha films (James Cameron worked on the abortion that was the 2nd one. I have it on VHS. Piranhas with wings!

Killer Klowns is a great guilty pleasure if we're going to keep talking 80's exploitation and cult. I love the Blob remake from around that time period as well.

It doesn't come up very often, but the DQ is not counted as a KO in the league. I can see some scenarios where counting a DQ as a stoppage makes sense, but here are a few examples why it doesn't make sense to count it as a KO:

    Commission changes result:
Bute-Jack was originally scored a draw, but due to Bute failing a drug test, commission changed the result to a Jack win by DQ12. Doesn't seem right to score that as a stoppage for Jack (Draw wasn't counted in the league at that time)

    Illegal fouls end fight:
Uzcategui-Dirrell was ruled a DQ8 win for Dirrell, even though he was the one who got knocked out. Doesn't seem right to score that as a stoppage for Dirrell (Nobody picked Dirrell KO in the league). FWIW, the same scenario occurred in Abraham-Dirrell which was ruled a DQ11 win for Dirrell.

Daws-Nieto was ruled a DQ10 win for Nieto after Daws committed an intentional headbutt in round ten which caused a bad cut over the right eye of Nieto, who was unable to continue (In 2015, CST80 did not score it as a KO for the people who picked Nietes KO)

Miranda-Despaigne was ruled a DQ5 win for Despaigne after multiple low blows from Miranda (Back in 2011, Tackleberry didn't score it as a KO for the people who picked Despaigne KO)

I'm sure there are plenty other examples, but I think that should be enough :beer-toast1:
