    No doubt, hell, I'd extend that to Halloween 3 & 4 as well, and half of part 5.:lol: Halloween is close to the perfect franchise for the first 3 Michael Myers movies 1, 2 and 4. But then they went completely off the rails, and down a ravine and exploded.:lol:

    I was being completely serious, I'm probably one of the few people that not only love, but love dearly the entire Jaws series. The first is GOAT level, but if you can put the follow ups into their proper perspective, as in, they're not being directed by ATG Spielberg, and judge them for what they are, solid as solid can get B-movie killer shark films, the franchise is as good as it gets. I'd put Jaws 2, 3 and The Revenge up against Deep Blue Sea, The Shallows and Open Water any day of the week. Its one of the main pitfalls fans tumble into with sequels, not properly gauging their expectations. Don't expect the moon and stars when the sequels are being directed by someone who is not an ATG director, its simple.

    Psycho 2 is an absolutely brilliant slasher film, one of the finest ever made, if being judge on its own merits, and not being judged against the first one, same applies to Halloween 2, I could even argue if they were standalone films The Exorcist 2 and 3 could easily be considered classics, but since they'll never compare to the first, they have a terrible reputation. Which is unfortunate, people have no idea how much joy they deprive themselves of, by setting such high standards for films, they should know going in, never have a chance of outdoing the original.
