    I've gotten to the point where I avoid all reviews regardless, I assume they're going to be some biased SJW drivel and aren't worth reading, occasionally I'll check out what Roeper has to say, but that's it. I haven't cared what critics think since Roger Ebert died.

    Ebert was pretty woeful at times, but he's complete gold compared to most mainstream modern critics.

    What's wrong with you?:lol: Hell no, at best I've seen Jaws 15 times, Halloween around the same, and they're my two favorite films.

    By the way, WOWS isn't even in my Top 10 Scorsese films.

    That's another great debate I could talk for hours on.:lol: Which slasher franchise do you think stayed the most consistent? I'd go with the Friday The 13th films, aside from part 5, they righted the course for part 6 and 7, went off the rails in again with 8, and never found its way again. SO that's 6 solid films. The Halloween films jumped the shark after 4. The Nightmare films jumped with part 2, part 3 righted the ship, then it fell apart until New Nightmare, the whole franchise os overrated aside from 1, 3 and 7. Chainsaw 1 & 2 brilliant! Part 3 solid, part 4 and all of the remakes/prequels are garbage except for the one with that Daddario girl.

    The was my problem with The Color god damned Purple. Had it ended after about 90 minutes it would have been terrific. But it kept going...and going...and going...and as it kept going my good-will toward it kept leaving and leaving until there wasn't anything left. Spielberg's first attempt at producing a Great movie would have been a whole lot better had it not tried so hard to be classic.

    Couldn't agree more, that happens a lot with Spielberg actually. Even with his 2 hour movies, they always managed to go on for too long, or fall apart in the last third or fourth. It happened with ET, War Horse, Schindler's List, Private Ryan, AI, Minority Report and War Of The Worlds.
