    What is it with Asian directors all being Aries with Virgo Moons, like me. Kurosawa and Yimou both are too, and like me have an over the top operatic flair for the dramatic.:lol: I would have included Yimou, but I haven;t sen enough of his work, only House Of The Flying Daggers and Hero. As far as Curtiz goes, I actually think he's quite overrated, I've never been a fan of Casablanca, I like Robin Hood an Captain Blood okay, but most of his work I find on the dull side.

    :lol: Most people think I'm insane when I cite Die Hard, Gremlins, Lethal Weapon, Fanny & Alexander and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as my 5 favorite Xmas films.

    Not just Capricorns that like it, I've been meaning to watch it since it debuted, I finally got around to watching the first two episodes last week, I absolutely loved it, and was automatically hooked. Not sure if anything could surpass Game Of Thrones, haven't seen enough to make that proclamation, since I love GOT dearly. But its damn solid.

    Agree to disagree on Curtiz, then...as I think Casablanca is a tried and true classic.

    Check out Raise the Red Lantern if you want to see a different side of Yimou's work. (and Gong Li..can't forget her).
