You played Wasteland 2?

 

Dunno about the Summerset Isles. The landscape looked like something in High Rock or Hammerfell.

Perhaps Akavir?

 

Yeah, it's great. One of the best actual role playing experiences of the past 10 years on PC.

Not quite Fallout 1/2 quality, but it's solid.

 

I thought High Rock too but its almost impossible to second guess Bethesda.

 

I really liked Wasteland 2, suffered a few technical glitches on ps4 but still solid game. You a fan of xcom or divinity original sin?

 

Love the X-Com series, have a video on my Youtube about the insanity of the difficulty of the classic expansion they used to have called Terror From the Deep...

Never got into the Divinity series, to be honest. I was big into the first two Diablo's when I was younger... The Baldur's Gate series is also one of my favorites. Planescape Torment is in my top five games list.

Anything from around the turn of the century that's an RPG tends to almost always be fantastic. Great time for the genre, like when great RPG's were coming out en masse on the SNES in the early to mid 90's.

 

Big fan of Xcom. Divinity is perhaps one of the greatest games i have ever played. Quite enjoying Pillars of Eternity too.

The problem for me is that there are too many and I want them all!

 

Have you played any of the older ones or do you keep to the reboot ones for consoles?

 

I've played Fallout 1&2 and Diablo.

I know Baldurs Gate and Planescape Torment were big inspirations for Divinity, Pillars and Torment Tides of Numenera but I haven't played them yet as I've only recently gotten into the ones I have played.

 

Oh I meant of the X-Com games. The reboots from the past several years are so easy on the eyes. Early 90's PC gaming like the first X-Com can feel a bit dated.

Planescape is amazine, hands down the best writing I've ever seen in a video game. Like playing an extremely good book... hard to describe. If you like RPG's in any real earnest sense you'll probably fall in love with that game someday. Give it a chance when you get the time.

 

Oh... No I've only played ps3 and ps4 xcoms!

But the older ones plus planescape and baldurs gate are on the list.

Time... Ah yes. I've got to complete Fallout 4 (still), Kingdom Come Deliverance, Pillars of Eternity. I'm buying Pillars of Eternity 2, Fallout 76, Divinity original sin 2, The Last of Us 2, Red Dead 2, Dying Light 2, Days Gone.... The list is endless!
