I'll be surprised if it takes him that long. That kid is a monster, not a former featheweight who doesn't have the same kind of teeth he used to moving up. He's big and primed, at the weight.

 

From what i have seen he is lacking accuracy, will have to improve that in the future but he is still young, Gesta is a good mover and experienced enough to avoid the bigger shots in the early stage, will probably gass out in the later rounds and gets KTFO there but i am still not so sure. Gesta wasn't knocked down by Linares who hits HARD af as we know since the Loma fight.

I agree he is a big big prospect.

 

Linares has been a big puncher for something like 10 years, all the way back to his Japanese bouts down at like 126. I thought his power was well respected before he decked Lomo, guy certainly achieved a lot more in his career than just losing to Lomochenko.

He used to have real one hitter quitter power but it's defused as he's moved up and is now facing good sized lightweights.
