Thanks again to the work you guys do putting the competition together.Just wondering how do the title shots get decided?

 

For future reference if the result had been RTD round 8 how is the round scored if I had TKO7 and my opponent had TKO 9, would the round have been scored 10-8 score with a knockdown to me or scored different?

 

It would just be 10-10 if both of you missed the stoppage round by 1.

 

Elo rankings (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system) decide the next challenger (highest contender gets the title shot unless that means an immediate rematch). Basically if you win a bout you go up 14-18 points or so, depending on the rating difference between you and your opponent. Conversely, losing a bout removes the same number of points from your score.

Very occasionally we mix things up a bit if we are getting too many recent rematches.

pablinov just fought nellybc and thus couldn't challenge for the title immediately, so the title shot falls to the next highest (#2 PinoyProdigy) while you (#4) and pablinov (#1) battle it out for the next title shot. Meanwhile, the rest of us try to make our way up the rankings.

 

@pincai interested in joining the WBK? It's not a lot of extra work, just need to specify:
1. exact KO round picks
2. wide/close UDs
3. MD vs SD are separate picks in the WBK.

 

I would like to, just still don't know exactly how it works.
Do I need to do that for all the fights?

 

@nellybc posts the list of fights, and it's only those fights.

The rules are also quoted here for your info, although to be honest it isn't completely necessary to go through them in depth.

 

Does the list come out weekly?

 

If there are a lot of interesting fights it may be weekly, usually every two weeks though.

Also with the way the ranking system works there's no penalty for standing out for a few weeks and coming back later.

2018 Lineage and Records​

Want to challenge the champion? Just look at the champion's upcoming fight picks. If you feel a pick by the champion will be wrong, post your pick, and announce that you want to challenge for the title!

Rules:
- First come first serve on challenges issued
- No stacking of challenges
- Can not challenge a fight more than 10 days away
- If champions change their pick after challenge has been set, they forfeit their title and it goes to the challenger who then becomes the interim champion, to fight for the vacant title against the next challenger
- Only 1 challenge per day, although a champion can have unlimited defenses per day
- Anyone who loses a title fight, must wait until 3 challenges occur before they can challenge again. If no one has challenged the champion,

- The champion should try to place their picks as soon as they can, to give the field enough time to challenge their picks.
