A thread in the lounge is a great idea as well for those who don't have alts with which to contact others (I've had this account for god knows how long now and have never had an alt so if I got banned I'd have no way of contacting anyone).

Auto picking I strongly disagree with.

A pick should be made by the person making it, otherwise what's the point?

I mean yeah this league is fairly social, as much as something can be on the internet, but it's also a competition and it should be won or lost on its own merit.

A bit like those who use engines for games on chess, or for those who used to spam on fight night by throwing the straight right over and over, I mean ultimately what's the point of competing if you aren't gonna be genuine?

I know people do cheat in all walks of life, but for me having someone else make your picks is as close to cheating as can happen in this league.

I always feel in a competition you're only ever truly competing against yourself. When I play chess I'm playing to improve my elo, regardless of how I do against individuals. When I compete on here I'm competing to improve my overall ratio regardless of how I do against others. When I am working out I'm doing it to improve my physique regardless of other people who might be stronger or quicker.

Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of people will disagree with my view on competition but I think ultimately it comes down to a lack of ambition that I have, I don't necessarily want to beat others, I just want to improve myself.

Quite surprised I've ended up ranting like this.

The “most title defenses” metric measures the cumulative number of defenses a champion has made over the course of mulitple championship reigns throughout the year.

 

Really looking forward to tomorrow's Usyk vs Mairis "the octopus" Breidis ....

We've all heard that Usyk is a monster of a talent, but I've been really impressed with Breidis' performances in the last few fights; he's so smart, and crafty

I'll be surprised if Usyk has an easy time tomorrow

I agree with this or some slight adjustment, in most of the tipping competitions im in you get the away team but obviously that wouldnt work for this and getting all the underdogs would be unfair.
