Oh **** off thursday fights.

 

Anyone have any thoughts on Cristofer Rosales vs. Paddy Barnes? I know Rosales currently has a lot of momentum but the home advantage here for Barne's is massive. Barnes only a +180 dog.

Do people believe Barnes is of that kind of talent bracket to be capable of getting the win here, or is he still an known after having had only a handful of fights?

Talent wise Barnes is the better of the two, however I think Rosales's relentless style will break down Barnes for a stoppage victory.

 

Bryan vs Flores is now for the WBA interim belt.

 

Barnes is an accident waiting to happen in the pro ranks. He has looked very unconvincing as a pro, even gifted a decision in a card a while back. I don't know how he has gotten a title shot, let alone get a title shot on home soil. Rosales lost to Selby clearly but fought admirably but thumped Higa after he missed weight. I think Barnes will get stopped tbh. He won't be able to keep the bigger rangier fighter off him.

 

Well, why do you think they made the fight? Got to imagine they see an avenue to victory. I think they see Rosales as one of the weakest current world champions, a guy who's big win was over a weight drained and compromised fighter. You have to imagine all of Barne's training is going into cardio, boxing and being able to last 12 hard rounds. If he does that, and makes it even remotely close you've got to imagine he gets it on the scorecards.
