I'm just glad that I watched it on my own without even knowing you guys had scored in here, so mine had no risk of being tainted by groupthink.

For the record I was rooting hard for HM.

 

I gave Maruta the first two. It was the middle rounds (4-6) that were razor thin.

How you guys all saw Maruta closing stronger down the stretch in the 7th & 8th is baffling to me. His tidy boxing was completely spoiled by Manangquil, he couldn't lay a glove cleanly on him, and his own head got snapped back frequently by Manangquil's ambush shots.

 

To me it appeared that Mananquil was tiring out late and was missing a lot while Maruta was coming in stronger and landing solid 1-2s.

I just counted the punches that connected clean in round 7 and 8 and although it's hard to catch them all and especially too see them all due to camera angle it's absolutely RIDICULOUS what you wrote above. Maruta landed much more in both rounds.

You CLEARLY missed the mark on this one. Or you didn't want to miss the mark after knowing it was a close scoreline and scoring it that close to look like your scorecard is the most accurate one.

I think you knew the result before and then just scored it much closer than it was.

I just rewatched the fight and scored it 6-1-1 favoring Maruta. First one was 7-0-1.

Maruta clearly won the fight.

 

Sorry, but YDKSAB, eight-month newbie. At least with CST it doesn't cause me to question his overall competency on the occasions we disagree because I know that he can score when he doesn't allow his biases to creep in (which he readily admits to happening). You, though...

Pinoy is a hundred times better at scoring than you'll ever be and he saw a fight that was consistently super close & competitive throughout. So...bye F1licia.

We all watched the exact same shit-ass quality Facebook stream. I watched on a phone, albeit a pretty damn good phone (Pixel2) in landscape mode fullscreen while typing out my RBR posts on my laptop instead of doing side by side browser windows, because my phone actually had a stabler connection to the WiFi in the café where I'm sitting.

For me the stream kept freezing every half minute or so. This was actually advantageous, and makes my score more reliable. Note: I said freezing, not lessening in quality. I saw things just as clearly (or not) as you, as Pinoy, and as CST. The difference is that I had opportunities throughout each round to digest what I had just witnessed piece by piece, give it serious thought, and type out detailed descriptions of the action.

None of that is true for you.

Also I've been doing this for a decade. You, as we've established, have been here for a whopping eight months. Nobody's going to trust your word over mine, and if you think you can hide behind CST's kilt flaps, well, sorry to break it to you but this is actually not an uncommon scenario, where CST and Pinoy and I all see a fight slightly differently. When people see that happen, they know it was close, and they know to go watch it for themselves. You can shriek all you want about this being some dominant shutout for Murata where he got robbed, but trust me, nobody is going to just take your word for it.

As for your implication that I scored to match the result, go **** yourself. I'm contemplating banning you for that. I guess you'll find out soon what I land on, huh?

Wait, how does it sound girly? It sounds Japanese. To our gaijin ears nobody's name should sound gendered either way.

 

1. My stream was absolutely fine apart from the first two or three minutes in the first round but it just continued at that point where it was frozen in the first place. So missed no action.

2. I never denied your RBR words, i didn't write that the things you saw in the video were not happening. But still a big difference between describing the action in a short text AND scoring a round for A or B.

3. As i wrote: I give a **** about the fact that 99,9% would trust your word over mine. A nice warm ****. If you are happy about that, man, be happy!

4. I do not have to hide behind CST or his scorecard. I am never hiding behind anyone. You are hiding behind some numbers and register dates lmao.

No, don't backpedal. You directly implied that I tailored my scorecard to match foreknowledge of the result. Which is directly questioning my integrity, which you, as some random newbie, don't get to do around here.
