Let me add a few more things, explain to me how anything I said was inaccurate. You don't live here, so you probably don't see all of the coverage first hand, well I do. The moment a school shooting occurs, the Democrats and the media in unison basically say it's guns that are to blame for the incident. They don't want to talk about the motive, whether or not the person was mentally unstable, on psychotropic medications, was a Muslim, was a Left Winger, but if he's a Right Winger, they will talk about that, and push that narrative ad nauseam. They use not practically but absolutely every mass shooting that occurs to push their political agenda. So if its okay for them to do that, then why isn't it okay for Trump to do the same thing? Where's the consistency? You do realize when one side does something non stop, and then turn around and decry the other side for doing the same thing, that's pretty much the definition of hypocrisy right?

Let me paint a picture for you, I live 40 minutes away from the Pulse nightclub, I know people that have been there, a relative of mine has been several times. The shooter was a Muslin, who shot the club up and killed 50 people in it, because they were LGBT and his religion forbids that type of behavior. There has never been a more clear cut case for a hate crime, with the motive to back it up than that one. But since the Democratic Party is courting the Muslim American community for their votes, they did everything in their power to downplay the story and especially the motive, because they didn't want to anger one of their constituencies, understand? You see how that could be viewed as trying to downplay the suffering of a community that was the victim of a religiously inspired hate crime for political gain right? They sold out one constituency to get the votes of another. That is political opportunism at its most repellent.

Florida's Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is a Christian, and happens to be against gay marriage was interviewed down here by Anderson Cooper from CNN, Pam Bondi was calling for unity and prayers, and trying to get everyone to band together to help the LGBT community in their time of need. But what does Anderson Cooper do in the midst of this tragedy? He calls out Pam Bondi on national television and attacks her for her stance on gay marriage, she argued that it was political position and that she holds no ill will towards the LGBT community and supports them, especially now in their time of need, but he wouldn't stop bashing away non stop, the interrogation went on for almost a half an hour. Yet, off and on for the next few weeks Cooper constantly downplayed the agenda of the killer himself. In his mind, he's gay by the way, he found a Republican politician being against gay marriage unacceptable ad egregious, yet obfuscated and muddied the water non stop when discussing the religiously inspired motive for Matteen actually MURDERING 50 people. In the mind of the Left, because its politically advantageous for them, they try to pretend that a Republican with the same position as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton 10 years ago, who still cares about the LGBT community, by stretching moral relativism to its breaking point, is somehow just as bad if not worse than a man who murdered 50 people, do they really believe that? Or are they just pushing a political agenda? Hmmm. Priorities Boxingfan200, Priorities. Let that sink in.

Re: guns. I don't care that much about the motivations, since they are all over the place in these mass shootings. I would just like to bring the bodycount down by restricting some of the faster, higher capacity type guns. You'll never bring the numbers down to zero, but crime prevention is about lowering crime to an acceptable level, not stopping it entirely. In England, where guns are illegal, people use knives and the homicide rate is one fifth of ours, because people don't die as often from knife wounds. We don't have to go that far. The second amendment says people can have guns, but maybe we don't let them have drum clips and automatics? (Although, extended mags are a lot more fun, and constantly reloading is a *****. I'm willing to give up a little bit of fun for some safety. I kind of want to try bow hunting too which looks awesome, especially that primitive stuff where you flint knap your own arrowheads.)

Maybe, I look at the gun situation wrong. I've always had a nostalgia for the old west type guns, lever action winchester rifles and colt revolvers. My friends with glocks and G3s would laugh at me and say I was shooting progress, but I didn't need the really modern heavy duty guns to have fun. I get that gun collecting is a lot like car collecting, or a technophiles computer stuff. Part of the fun is the variety and the pleasure they take in the fine engineering, having the best, fanciest, newest most effective stuff. But that's not really my thing. And I'm not a hunter, or a farmer down in Texas, who might need a rapid fire rifle with a large mag for those herds of feral pigs. Maybe, they could get a special license, if they can prove they need it. I don't know.

As for the left and right being hypocrites, that's just human nature. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't a hypocrite of one type or another.

People on the left and people on the right are basically the same people, the same personalities, with the same motivations, just directed slightly different. The person who's concerned for dead aborted babies is the same person who's super upset about killing animals for food just shifted a little on the political spectrum. One group gets upset about paintings of cops as pigs murdering black people being hung in the capital building and the other group gets upset about old confederate war memorials. One group of poor rural people think the government is oppressive and the constitution says a wildlife refuge belongs to the people and another group of poor rural people say that they have an old peace treaty so you can't build an oil pipeline on their ancestor's land. One group says that Trump is undermining the people's confidence in the security institutions that keep us safe, and then they undermine people's confidence in the police by saying all they do is murder black people.

    1. The Warriors - got a love hate relationship with this film, Can you dig it?
    2. Hardcore- I think I've only seen that one iconic scene but it's a doozy.
    3. Mad Max - The original is unwatchable aside from the great ending.
    4. Apocalypse Now - because why would a top 15 all time film be at the top of it's year?
    5. Salem's Lot - didn't do much for me, most of King's movies are trash with one or two cool ideas
    6. Alien - that's low for one of the all time greatest horror movies
    7. Zombie - wasn't this also called Brain Dead?
    8. The Brood - didn't see
    9. Fascination - Wow, this looks hot. Thumbs up my friend. Although the chick with the scythe is hilarious.
    10. Nosferatu The Vampyre - didn't see this one, saw the original though
    11. The Great Alligator - I've seen B monster movie alligator films before
    12. The Villain - Kirk Douglas and Arnold Schwarzenegger made a film together? Arnold looks ridiculous in that cowboy outfit.
    13. Manhattan - not a Woody Allen fan.
    14. Tess - Polansky, could be good
    15. Rocky 2 - decent but the original is really the only good one
    16. Cannibal Holocaust - overrated
    17. The Changeling - Just saw this, kind of mild for a horror film
    18. Escape From Alcatraz - great escape movie
    19. The Amityville Horror - can't remember if I saw this
    20. Phantasm- remember the beginning when the dude is ****ing this chick in a graveyard and then she turns into the Tall Man. Dude got tranny tricked. Also, makes you wonder, was that all necessary?
Caligula deserves more than an honorable mention.

    1978
    1. Halloween - really hated this, how's your unstoppable killer missing the girl and stabbing the sofa cushion or letting her stab him in the neck with a coat hanger?
    2. Dawn Of The Dead - really loved this, my favorite zombie flick
    3. Martin - only seen pieces but love the idea
    4. Grease - I'm a sucker for musicals
    5. Autumn Sonata - I liked this
    6. Piranha - didn't see
    7. Jaws 2 - didn't see
    8. Invasion Of The Body Snatchers - surprisingly good
    9. Someone's Watching Me - didn't see
    10. The Deer Hunter - It didn't do it for me, but the Russian roulette scenes are great
    11. Superman - i like this, it feels like the old movies capture superman better than the modern ones where he hates saving people
    12. The Legacy - "A millionaire, a million-dollar prostitute, a star-maker, a nation-killer, a woman whose lusts are as cold as graveyard snow..." the technical term is a wife
    13. Convoy - nother Peckinpah I haven't seen
    14. Up In Smoke - haven't seen it, hear it's the Harold and Kumar of it's day.
    15. Days Of Heaven - beautiful cinematography but that's about it
    16. The Boys Of Brazil - great idea for a film, Peck's performance is a little wooden though
    17. Every Which Way But Loose - used to like this more, but the long fistfight was good
    18. The Grapes Of Death - haven't seen
    19. I Spit On Your Grave - I just realized this is the same premise as Hang 'em High.
    20. Animal House - funny still holds up.
