Since the Soliman-Singh match has been declared a No Contest by the local commission in Australia, league records will be adjusted accordingly. Unfortunately, this will cause some shifts in the rankings, including 1st place. I hate to see rankings shift on something like this, but the following changes will be made:

If you picked Soliman by SD or MD, you will have a win and a KO removed
If you picked Soliman by UD, you will have a win removed
If you picked Singh, you will have a loss removed

I've never had faith in Moralde. Surprised and impressed me in his last fight but I'm afraid he was going to get stopped if that was a 10-rounder. And this fight with Herring is for 10 rounds, against a bigger and much better fighter. Hope he pulls off another upset though.

 

Great work as always … what a nightmare it must be to sort this out!

On another note, congrats to @David B for taking first spot, great battle at the top.

 

Lemieux KO 8, Canelo Close UD

 

Good points! I'll bite:

- Golovkin's age worries me, usually the younger boxer adapts better
- To me Canelo has the style to beat Golovkin if he can sort out his stamina
- Canelo seems very confident, I'm not a body language reader but he seems to think he's going to win. I doubt he'd feel that way if he was on PEDs in the first fight and not for the second, after all he was VADA tested for the first fight and didn't fail anything as well. I know he looks smaller but in my view that's his choice to try to avoid gassing.
- Lastly, but probably most importantly, I'm hedging my league pick against my personal feelings - I really hope Golovkin pulls it off, but if not I'll at least have my correct pick to console me!
