I feel for you. I also read that Wale is a great guy. It would be great if he had won.
I only watchef 2 and half rounds which all were given to Wale in the RBR thread.
I agree with that but I also think they are close enough to be arguable to give them to the hometown fighter.

So, now we're holding metal vocalists to an impossible bewilderingly high standard? Jesus. Try comparing David Draiman to oh.... I don't know, Kenny Chesney, Kanye West, Harry Styles, hell Michael Buble, at least someone vaguely contemporary. No one modern lives up to standards like that. That's literally maddening, not even Simon Cowell at his most Season 1 of American Idol sinister would think of doing that.

@Dfaulds Hit the nail on the head of my argument. Its such a misnomer that people have this awful cliched perception of metal guys as somehow limited or incapable of doing anything else, which in reality, the vast majority of them aren't only okay singer, but occasionally brilliant singers, and usually possess that rare quality most singers seem to lack, a unique tone, something that sets them apart, while being solid vocalists. That's not applicable to many genres of music, most rappers can only rap, they cannot sing worth a damn, same for many male country singers, they're by the numbers and dull, and usually thoroughly average vocalists. I'm going to post a ton of vids that attempt to illustrate my point of these guys being vastly underrated.

Speaking of how cut rate most country vocalists are.

This is David Vincent, singer for Morbid Angel, perhaps one of the finest cookie monster vocalists Death Metal has ever produced, he has one of the more genuinely sinister voices in metal, but he's not even close to a good singer. That being said.... on a whim he decided to just for shits and giggles to record a country album, and he's every bit as good as most modern country vocalists, but unlike most of them he truly has that old school outlaw tone.

David Vincent Death Metal growling. Brilliant song by the way.

Dan Swano and Mikael Akerfeldt are better clean singers than pretty much all mainstream rock artists as well lol.

40 minute conceptional epic. Progressive Death Metal. Great cleans and harsh vocals(Ft. Akerfeldt)

Akerfelds legacy speaks for itself.... Opeth are phenomenal and he pulls off Death Metal great in Bloodbath as well.

I'm putting these up to show the wide range of vocal stylings metal has to offer, not that all of them are astonishing, simply immensely talented, unique and very underrated and capable of far more than people think they are.

Peter Steele, very unique tone, and IMO one of the most powerful vocalists in the history of metal.

Speaking of Mikael Akerfeldt he recorded a stunning cover of Deep Purple's Solider Of Fortune. Listen to it first, then listen to how he usually sounds. Granted, there's still some solid clean vocals in the latter.

Not just the league, being a boxing fan full stop.

I'm quite cynical, I never underestimate German, SA, or French judges. I knew Wale was going to win on most people's scorecards but didn't think the judges would concur. But I feel for you, I honestly would prefer that the right man got the nod and I lost on the league.

Yes, that impossible bewildering standard that somehow everyone in classical music manages to hit. It's called training. Taking your job serious and being a professional musician. Take a couple of years and go to music school to learn basic stuff. It's not rocket science.

I sing pretty well for a guy with no training and I demand that musicians I listen to sing better than I an amateur can do. That's my bar. If I can walk in off the street and swing a wrench as well as you can, you can't fix my car. My voice is okay. I'm not Sinatra or Andrea Boccelli. I don't have those silky smooth pipes, but they're a little bit better than average. But better than average doesn't cut it. I want highly trained skills and I want natural talent, or you learn to play a ****ing instrument ******* and stop wasting my time. You don't belong on a stage. What is this, some participation trophy bull****? Go sing karaoke in the ****ing shower loser. Nobody wants to hear it.

This ten year old shits on you.

Simon Cowell is a ***** and should go home and hang himself. Kenny Chesney and Michael Buble? You want me to compare bad music to other bad music? Kanye West doesn't sing. He raps. Have you ever heard Kanye West attempt to sing a non-rap song?

    Pathetic.

If you want good pop singers: Aretha Franklin, Adele, Whitney Houston, Celine Deon, Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Elvis, Freddy Mercury, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Bing Crosby, Tom Jones, Edith Piaf, etc.
