I like playing baseball, playing baseball. Although, when I was a kid I idolized Nolan Ryan and I went to see the A's when they had Mark Mcgwire and Jose Canseco. I keep a baseball by my computer to lightly toss and catch at my desk, but I'd never watch a game on television. Ball sports are for children.

 

Is it possible that you just like awful films no one else likes?

 

I don't watch reality shows, unless you count stuff like Cops or The First 48. Real life and death emergencies, real dangerous jobs that can require bravery and danger, that's the only thing worth making a reality tv show out of, not pmsing housewives. Sometimes I put on the news just to have some droning background noise when I go to sleep, but it's so biased and stupid most of the time I can't watch it. I used to think I was intelligent for staying abreast of current events and it was my duty to be an informed citizen. Then I realized it was all sensationalist infotainment without any substance and it was polarizing the country. That's when it occurred to me that if I was going to watch a performance, I wanted to watch the best performers. James Gandalfini is many levels more entertaining than Anderson Cooper.

I used to look down on cooking shows, but now I'm thinking, I eat three times a day. Food is an art form, and I've been feeding myself a mediocre diet for 36 years. I should learn a thing or two to make every day that much better for the time I have left. I've been trying to make pizzas and French bread lately with limited success. Maybe, I'll get the hang of baking by the time I'm 40.

 

Baseball can be drawn out and boring admittedly as a fan of it. But it kicks the hell out of toxic reality TV. There's at least talent and strategy behind baseball.

 

Yes, that's the great thing about sports. It's based on meritocracy. If someone sucks they get fired. I have no idea how the Khardashian's built an empire seemingly without any talent.

 

I demand a scenario for the disqualification pick!

 

I don't consider "True crime" reality TV fyi. I love True Crime documentaries and TV shows. Vapid crap like Kardashians, Real World etc. have zero redeemable qualities. As an MMA fan I loathe TUF. It promotes degeneracy, drunken buffoonery more than it does discipline and hard work. The UFC stacked the house with alcohol and encouraged cast members to be drunken morons for cheap views.
