Attaboy CST, I might join you in that pick soon. Schwarzkopf looks incredibly flawed, I don't think Cardos can get a decision in Germania though and don't think he can KO him.

    For now:

Schwarzkopf SD, Parker UD, Taylor KO, Burnett UD, Alimkhanuly UD, Berchelt KO

Think Donaire will send Burnett on his ass too but I don't think Nonito can finish guys nowadays.

IMO, welterweight is the best division, both currently and historically. Perfect combination of power, speed and technique.

    Depends what you mean.

For me the best division will always be HW. Nothing gets me going like a good competitive fight between the big guys.

But if you're talking about from a skill point of view I think it's a real close call between WW and LW on both counts.

WW today has two incredibly skilled fighters in Spence and Crawford. LW today has two incredibly skilled fighters in Lomachenko and Garcia. The next level of fighters such as Porter and Garcia are definitely better than the likes of Pedraza and Campbell but then the tier below that favours LW imo. As I said really close.

Historically speaking it's an interesting one. I used to be obsessed with resumes and lineage but over the years I've become much more of a h2h kinda guy. For my money the best ever WW fighters are:

    Ray Robinson
    Ray Leonard
    Thomas Hearns
    Jose Napoles
    Floyd Mayweather
    Charley Burley
    Kid Gavilan
    Emile Griffith
    Luis Manuel Rodriguez
    Oscar De La Hoya

And the best ever LW fighters are:

    Pernell Whitaker
    Roberto Duran
    Benny Leonard
    Henry Armstrong
    Joe Gans
    Alexis Arguello
    Carlos Ortiz
    Shane Mosley
    Barney Ross
    Tony Canzoneri

I hate sitting on the fence but how do you split those guys really? I rate Robinson the best fighter ever but Sweet Pea is one spot below him. In my top 20 ATH fighters I have 5 of those listed WW fighters and 4 of the listed LW fighters. But then my top 15 has 4 of the LW guys and 3 of the WW guys.

    Really close.

    Insanely close.

That being said, I hate sitting on the fence so l agree with you, WW gets the nod for me on both counts.

I know M is beloved, but I'm not too keen on Peter Lorre, especially when he's playing a pedophile.
-You must have something against serial killer movies. This is the Silence of the Lambs of it's day. Peter Lorre is excellent here. He was like the Daniel Day Lewis or Tom Cruise of Germany before the Nazis ran him off. Lang is at the height of his powers. The editing and shot selection is spectacular. And the plot is phenomenal. Criminals can't take the extra heat the cops are putting on them, so they decide to catch the child killer and put him on trial themselves. That's amazing! I love detective stories and crime stories. This has it all.
