you score a knockdown for example if you have fighter A and fighter B , you choose A, your opponent choose B to win. If fighter A wins , you score a knockdown and you get 10-8, if fighter B wins , your enemy scores a KD and wins the round with 8-10.

What constitute UD close and UD wide?

 

I don't know about this right now , cause there were some changes in the rules, @nellybc has the page with the rules from last year, it can be really good if @kirk can copy it on the first page
