I do think Duran had the best win in the quadrant though, historically the best 135'er coming up to beat Leonard (Primed). Maybe tied with Leonard/Hearns. Hm. Hard decisions.
Can you imagine how this forum would be if the Leonard vs Hearns rematch happened when there was internet...??? Look at all that transpired in that timeframe: > Hearns and Steward claimed Leonard was on steroids > Hearns brother arrested literally hours before the fight for murder > Leonard imposed a rematch clause with a stipulation that neither fighter could weigh over 164, or incur a hefty fine or penalty > Hearns was fighting for the 2nd time since Iran Barkely KO'd him > Leonard had fought Lalonde & Hagler immediately prior to the fight > Bob Arum nearly halted the fight cause it was scheduled for outdoors, not indoors Mine the trolls what have ate this fight up and vomited some nasty BS about both fighters, and their camps...!!!
Peoples' accomplishments tend to get downgraded significantly because of social media. Imagine if Ray Robinson was fighting in today's era. One loss and he's he called a bum. Say Mike Jones gets a lucky one in and knocks Robinson out, SRR would be labelled a glass chinned bum by almost everyone. There would be no GOAT, there would be no ATG, there would not even be H.O.Fer status for that man. :nut
Exactly, I hate when people see a guy with a 31-15-2 record and immediately classify him as a bum....guys like Kirkland Laing, Darnell Boone, etc are way better than their records indicate; sadly most look at boxrec & determine what they think is a bum. Look at someone like KINGPIN, yeah he was a glorified journeyman, but hell he took on Hammer, Chisora, Fury on short notice, had his one chance against Vitali, and Vitali looked off that day...wasted oppurtunity to maybe dethrone VK, but KJ looked worse. It's boxing, injuries happen, guys get hurt, look lackluster against subpar competition, no need to label them...!!!
E.Augustus too. Records don't say everything. Floyd said he's the best guy he's ever faced and he has the worst record (Well one of) out of all the guys he's ever faced
You take away all of Augustus's robberies, and he would have an outstanding record...!!! The Drunken Master is another one of my favorites...:deal
Sure is awfully quiet around these parts without that insufferable loud mouth CST80 blabbering on about some obscure 1940's horror movie starrring Gina Lollobridgida or Judy Garland...:deal

There are no 1940's Horror Movies starring Gina Lollobrigida or Judy Garland....that's why. Although Gina did a Hunchback Of Notre Dame remake with Anthony Quinin the late 50's
