Nah I think your thinking of Aust as was 30+ yr ago, we're slowly but surely being americanised, used to be if someone got up in ur face u could thump em nowadays you can get jailed, so yeah we definatly getting softer.Also our language is changing used to be, words like Sheila are frowned on, "mate" I hear less of "Blokes" is non existant unless ur 40+. The one change I hate most is our Pubs look more like casinos or nightclubs, used to be a great place a bloke could go and have a yarn, public bars are ok just not the same atmosphere
