:goodI will, even when its bad, cycling is still great. People really don't know what they're missing by not watching cycling here in America.
Beast, that's awesome you helped out with the update man, thank you! :good That is always a pleasant surprise.
Real quick.... wanna touch on the fights this weekend. - You know, picking Molina by SD will probably go down as my worst pick that I can think of off the top of my head for a long time. But really, I 'still' think that if Molina came to fight how he should have fought, he could have won the fight the way I think he could have. The reasons I went with a slight edge towards Molina was - AB looked really dry for the weigh in, he had a lot of weight to lose this camp and I felt it 'could' come into play. - AB's life outside the ring isn't conducive to winning tough fights, I thought Molina would make this a tough fight. - Two very important loved ones to Molina recently died, and he dedicated this fight to them. Believe it or not that often helps a fighter go that extra mile in a fight. - Reports that this was Molinas best camp (almost always exaggerated, I know) - Broner is there to be hit by big shots by a big puncher, in fact if he didn't have such a good chin (he does) he could have been hurt/put down last night But I could tell after round 2 I picked the wrong guy. Broner looked really sharp, I liked his performance.... and Molina, well.... When you only have two advantages, size and right hand power, you don't spend all fight trying to counterpunch on the outside or throwing home run swings from left field one at a time. I couldn't believe what I was seeing from Molina.... you get selected to be in a big fight on such a huge event and you come with, that? You are trying to wait on Broner and land one big punch counter? Unbelievable. I thought he would make it a dogfight and bring Broner into the trenches where Broner is vulnerable to big shots. When Molina DID open up, he had success.... shocker. I understand that speed will put people into a shell... but come on. That's where you have to give guys like Rios and Margarito credit. Ya they are almost always the slower guys, but they adapt and fight in a manner that gets them the W. Mauling, setting the pace, bringing the fight. Molina was waiting on the outside trying to box, counterpunch, with the occasional home run punch. Had me shaking my head and feeling stupid for picking him. Damn.... lol. Anyways, Broner looked good for the most part, still open to big shots, still needs to stop pulling straight back. His D is his weakness. But he looked a bit more polished and I look forward to his next fight.
Thurman vs Ghost was a good lil s****. I have never liked Guerrero but he won me over last night. You cant not like what he showed in there. I like what I saw for the most part from Thurman, almost reminded me of a lil David Haye in there at times lol... I think its beneficial for him to be in these kind of fights right now, not everyone he faces on the top level will have good beards like his last two opponents, and now hes able to get good work in, the type of work that builds champions, without taking too much punishment of his own. He needs to work on 3 big things, defense... footwork, and most importantly, his stamina. anyways, cant wait to see whats next for Thurman. Him matched up against any top 5 welter right now is a must watch for me.
Yes!! It wasn't deliberate at first but all day saturday i was wondering how i could pick molina as i really did think he would bring war but in the end i forgot and i was lucky i did in this case.
