Based on win-loss ratio. You have three more losses than Dan, and only one more win.

The rankings are correct but I see now what you are asking.

So the answer as to why I am behind pimp c even though I have more wins (which goes for every time this happens, so also for you and demolitiondan)

is because I have 1 more win then he does, but I have 2 more losses. So that puts me actually at -1 behind him.

You have 1 more win then Dan, but you have 3 more losses, so you are actually -2 behind him.

The rankings isn't all about just how many wins I get, its about wins and losses within the set amount of fights picked.

Its why someone who is 30-100 will be ranked behind someone who is 25-0
Or someone who is 40-20 will be ranked behind someone that is 30-0

Its always based on how many wins you have more or less then someone minus how many more or less losses you have.

Yeah but they also have skipped a few picks, and we didn't, so why should they move ahead of us because they ducked a tough call or missed one.:yep

 Just the way it is man. Systems are needed when having a ranked league based on wins and losses, and to me this is the best system. And I trust my conclusion :yep

Trust me, Ive been doing this for 9 years now and posters who have a habit of ducking tough fights never make it to the very top, because theres always guys who didn't duck the fight and got it right. Usually the only time someone who misses a fight gets helped out is when they accidently forgot to pick on a 'gimme' fight where we all had one outcome, and there was a big upset, so we all got L's where as they didn't. That's way more common then top guys ducking tough fights.

Anyways, every system is going to have its pro's and con's. To me, having a ranking structure based on wins alone is an inferior system overall then to one based on a +win -loss formula.

Its not all Win/Loss ratio. For example...

Someone who is 20-0 has a 100% win ratio

Someone who is 26-5 has an 83% ratio but will still be ranked above the other guy because hes +1 overall on him (+6 wins, -5 losses, = +1).

I need to think of a better way at explaining this :think
