Buddy McGirt has a gambling problem! He stopped the fight while Macklin was still breathing and conscience! How dare he.

Jokes aside, props to both fighters. Macklin gave a solid effort and gave it a shot. Martinez controlled (even though HBO was pretty much calling him a hype job throughout the fight and not giving him credit for anything) the fight with his jab, and ring generalship. Then after the bogus knockdown, that pissed off Martinez and he closed the show.

Also, Steward, Lampley and Merchant really don't know anything about boxing, well, Steward does, obviously, but the fighters of today they don't really know. They really don't have a pulse of the game anymore. Like during the Rodriguez-George fight it just sounded like they were reading boxrec. "Yeah...and this George fella, he lost to Sierra....that wasn't a good fight...but then he came back with a 1st round KO...that was good...." Or the "Andre Ward....he's a, uh...pretty good....and uh...who else....uh, Carl Froch...yeah, Froch, he's good...and uh..................(5 minutes later) oh yeah, Mikkel Kessler..." and then didn't they say it's not that good of a division? I thought I heard that, and it's like, come on, the hell are you smoking?
