8. Giacobbe Fragomeni

Like many modern day Italian Boxers Giacobbe Fragomeni started his career very late, He began boxing at age 20, Mainly to loose weight he said in an interview but that surely wasn't all the at-one-time-poor iItalian brawler did, He made some of the best fighting in recent boxing and won a world title, He will be placed among Italian boxing legends! I feel personally he is often unappreciated as a fighter, He is most known for losses verses Zsolt Erdei, Kryzstof Wlodarczyk ( Draw & loss ), David Haye and Silvio Branco ( " Draw " ). I personally don't know one fight that this guy didn't give it his all. He is a very high stamina, push forward fighter for 42, Wlodarczyk and Erdei were givin all they could handle, Both almost defeated. Hey how would you feel when you got a guy constantly pressing forward and slamming in hooks and uppercuts with tons of energy and stamina? He is a very hard man to fight!

The Branco fight the other week was great.46 yr old Branco was running around, working behind his jab while Frago was pushing forward and walking the older fighter ( in boxing years way older ) down. Bad draw IMO. Fragomeni more effective.

Just wanna say i'm gutted for linares but that's a great example of style over substance biting someone in the arse. People aren't gonna give him respect now and I fear they'll walk right through him from here on in.

 

9. Alexander Alexseev

While he has his limitations defensively and usually gets broken down by top guys Alexander Alexseev's power and come forward style makes him a hit on the Euro scene and a favorite of hardcore fans. Alexseev has done well rebuilding his career since his big KO loss to Denis Lebedev in late 2010, He took a couple easy get back on track style fights then he stepped up again late last year, beating down the also powerful African Daniel Brewer in 8 rounds to regain contender status. Then in his last bout he got his biggest and most impressive win on the Hernandez-Cunningham 2 undercard verses fellow contender and former world title challenger Enad Licina. He dominated and busted up the smaller Licina, Looking his best ever winning the European Crusierweight title. Alexseev is back! He will have another tough test this May verses veteran Firat Arslan. I think he comes through well.

10. Lateef Kayode

Like many Heavyweights and Crusierweight's Lateef Kayode packs a real punch, But is often criticized for his low workrate. Not too much of an entertaining fighter, but a fighter who will try to break your head off with one power punch at a time. In most occasions I can't see him using these kinds of tactics to defeat all the top 10 guys, But then again 1 punch can say it all in the high weight classes so you never know. But we will find out this May when he takes on veteran Antonio Tarver ( 5 ) on Showtime.

Tarver just has to do what some of his journeyman opponents such as Felix Cora Jr could do for some of the fight. Felix Cora Jr, Fringe contender level guy outboxed him, IB had it 1 point for Lora at the end and Kayode won. Tarver is a way, way, way better and more known fighter then Cora Jr. Same as Cunningham, Huck, Hernandez, Wlodarczyk, Lebedev, With good judging most top guys easily beat Kayode unless he makes some SERIOUS changes.

 

Speaking of Showtime I am so excited to see Tommy Gun on the next Shobox. Thomas Oosthuizen Vs. Maxim Vlasov was the original ( and maybe better ) plan but Vlasov apparently got into a car accident and pulled out, Marcus Johnson is stepping in, What do you think of this guys?
