Less then 24 hours gents :deal Have to admit, Im a bit suprised so many are taking Rios. We will see.... Im rooting for him, would like to see him make a big splash at 140 and stop Alvarado late in a war. But I just think Alvarado will be too big, too strong, for Rios. We will see though, cant wait!
Props where props are due, Im not a Top Rank/Bob Arum fan, but he put on an awesome free night of fights for Saturday. You cant get much better then this type of card Headlining are two top boxers, a p4p'er fighting a top tier opponent in his weightclass The leadup are another two top fighters, but with a totally different style matchups. Two pitbulls ready to maul eachother. Two high level fights, 4 high level fighters, 2 completely different types of matchups that will appeal to the purists, and the bloodlusters. Should be an awesome night!
the rest of my picks: 10/13 - Katsunari Takayama UD 10/13 - David Price TKO 10/13 - Luis Franco SD 10/13 - Brandon Rios UD 10/13 - Nonito Donaire UD 10/13 - Dante Jardon SD 10/17 - Omar Andres Narvaez UD
That prediction is gonna cost you another defeat in the peoples championship Kirk Alvarado is strong, but can be beat. He was put through hell against Prescott and Herrera who, both of who is no where near as tough and strong (props to both of them though for their performance) as Rios. I dont see Rios knocking Alvarado out though. But he should be able to outhustle him without succombing to Alvarado's power.
Sure is, such a shame I wont be able to watch any of them :| Will try follow the rbr's though. But internet in Kazakhstan is a damn joke:twisted:
I totally hear you man, and I actually hope youre right because I am rooting for Rios. But.... that title is going to look good around my internet waist Tackle :bbb:deal
Yep, most definitely. It'd be really easy for Donaire, Top Rank, and Bob Arum to just say no to someone of Nishioka's caliber. Most definitely have to tip your hat to Arum. :bbb
Major upset, not sure what happened during the fight (be it a robbery or not), but according to BoxRec, Mateo Handig won by SD against Takayama.
