BANAL AND PUNGLUANG MAKE WEIGHT AJ “Bazooka” Banal (28-1-1, 20 KO's) of the ALA Gym and Pungluang Sor Singyu (42-1, 27 KO's) of Thailand made the division limit for their Saturday night battle for the vacant WBO bantamweight world title. Banal easily made 118 lbs in his first attempt but Sor Singyu had to shed an extra pound for around an hour before returning to the scales. This content is protected
Damn, fight still continues but might end up a NC after. I do however understand why the fight goes on, because otherwise Garcia might miss out on his payday. That's one of the problems this sport deals with... if in most other sports a guy gets caught on any kind of substance, he will be excluded from the contest but the contest itself will continue as planned and the others competing will get paid. If it's a 1 on 1 final, the other guy will be declared the victor and he will get his pricemoney.

BROOK (146) AND SALDIVIA (146.5) MAKE WEIGHT KELL BROOK: "The IBF shot is a huge incentive. It’s massive knowing that I have a fight with Randall Bailey or Devon Alexander lined up after I’ve dealt with Saldivia…Hector is a tough cookie, who keeps coming and chucking shots. He likes to hold his position in the middle of the ring and dictate fights. He’s a big puncher, but if he wants to stand and fight I am more than ready to go toe-to-toe with him, as I know I can outhit him. With the way I am feeling now, he won’t go the distance. I won’t say what round as talk is cheap, but don’t blink tomorrow as you’ll open your eyes and he’ll be sparked out."
