many years ago i travelled to Romania to support my RSC Anderlecht in the semi finals of the CL
we were blown away 3-0 thanks to an excellent Ducadam in the goal
it was our last chance at the big cup
getting angry thinking about it
Steaua had a great team however

Steua is most loved Romanian team, the only one who can bring up 60,000 fans at their games. Read an article somewhere that Steaua was in top 3 with the average of supporters coming attending at home games in Europa League.
The only team who won CL in a final against Barcelona. Duckadam was the first GK to save four consecutive penalties.Steaua had an all time great team back then, actually next season after that year Hagi joined steaua, he actually played in the Super Cup against Dynamo Kiev.
Steaua has right now has a new amazing generation, who is better that the one they had in 2007 when they were eliminated in min 89 out of the Semi-Finals of Europa League. Tragedy back then 1-0 at home steaua score two goals fast with the number 10 Dica, and the teams best Defender Goian, making it 3-0 overall to lose 3-4 goal Maccarone. Now Steaua has given 9 player to Romania National team was suppose to be 10 but one was injured. Has an amazing Defender in Chiriches, who's being watched by Milan, Barcelona, Liverpool. Has two amazing wingers in Popa and Chipciu , and Rusescu the goalscorer. Tanase the technician is highly rated by most football specialists, but personally I don't like him much. It seems sometimes he loses to many balls.

following Steaua just like a lot of other teams and they indeed have a very good new generation
problem is football has changed and for a team that is not playing in the big leagues it has become almost impossible to keep the players together for a couple of years and book great successes
Steaua and Anderlecht always have to rebuild after a very good season
Anderlecht right now has the best team of the last 8 years but will probably lose Biglia + Kouyaté + Mbokani after this season
the real difference maker is this kid
he played good in the CL and is amazing in our Jupiler League
we will probably lose him too after just 1 year

We are out of the national cup and euro cup now, but leading the league with nine points, has reinvented a few players, and giving the chance to some young ones, to a few young ones who has shown to be up to the task. The playing style is attractive and he has shown tactical astuteness many times with small tweaks. Vetokele has been injured for some time but came back this weekend and scored against Steaua today as a substitute. He is young and talented too but seems to "fall out " of the matches from time to time.
