I have a tendancy to underrate some fighters, as I did with Kirkland, but in fairness, had Albert made it out of the first 3 rounds, he'd have easily defeated a gassed, 1 dimensional opponent as he's got okay skills.

Byrd gave me a loss also, Shaun George is not a very good fighter, so I assumed Byrd's experience would at least be enough. I also picked Cintron out of pure hate for the ****ing Margarito **** hype train, bad call, but it was out of hope.

My three losses were Williams/Quintana, Diaz/Campbell and Woods/Tarver. Of the three, Woods surprised me the most. I still don't understand what happened to him.

Monzon is a hard fighter to rank. My dad was a big fan of his, so I grew up with him talking about Monzon all the time. When I started really getting into boxing and looking up fighters myself, I was stunned by how mediocre he looked on film. He was great though. Interesting fighter. If you don't study the guy, you won't appreciate him. He didn't have many great physical attributes. He was fairly slow, not very agile and he lacked KO power, but he was tough and mentally strong. Very calm and collected. In a way, I imagine the fact he wasn't aesthetically pleasing helped him in his career. I think a lot of guys underestimated just how good he was, just like a lot of fans still do. He has a really strong resume and despite not looking as impressive as some guys, such as Hagler, he ranks highly head to head too. I can't think of many middleweights who would win a 5 fight series over him.
