Well, just thought id put up the new thread for the new year, Ill be putting up the schedule tomorrow and making my first months picks....

Like ive said, Ill be gone until april.... Sandman has said he will help keep this thing flowing while im gone, and any other help will be appreciated, it will go as usual, make a fight list, then pick on it.... When i come back the rules are going to be a little bit stricter this year in terms of when to add fights... and also ill do my best to update more often. :deal

Anyways, 2008 was a good fun year, I hope most of us who did it last year come back for the new years competition.... A lot of you are the reason i continue to do it. :good

Alright, so there will be no carry over from last year, names will only be added when you put down your picks ok?

As always, all fights can be suggested, as i miss A LOT of fights, not all will be taken though, as the more fights, the more hassle it is and the more watered down it gets.... but almost all reasonable fights will be added if suggested within 5 DAYS of the fight. :thumbsup


JANUARY
9th - Gamboa vs Gonzales
17th - Andre Berto vs Luis Collazo
17th - Sergio Martinez vs Joe Greene
24th - Antonio Margarito vs Shane Mosley
30th - Herman Ngoudjo vs Juan Urango

My picks so far

- Gamboa UD
- Collazo MD
- Margarito UD

I think the Berto and Margarito fights will be closer then some think, with Mosley giving a good account for himself... i dont know how Margarito will be after soaking up so many punches from Cotto, I can see Mosley having some success here and there, i will be counting on Margarito to as accustomed take over around the 6th round and lay it on Mosley from there on out... but i have a feeling this fight will be close for some reason.

Berto, i could see picking Collazo apart... and that wouldnt suprise me, because Berto is very talented, young, and hungry... but hopefully Collazo knows this is his last shot and goes in there to impress.... How he was dismantled by mosley is not a good sign here, but im hoping he can stick to a game plan, use his skills and outbox berto... the more i think of this the more i lean towards berto but im still going to go with Collazo as of right now.
