Alright, todays my day off, gonna go to bed now for awhile and will be on later tonight. Big congrats to Martinez, def a top p4p fighter in the world today.

As for Cotto vs Mayorga, it was pretty much as I thought except I figured Mayorga would go the distance and lose wide.... sad hes going out like this but with his lifestyle and fighting style, it was inevitable. The man is almost 40 years old, and has taken enough punishment to end most careers.... he should have retired years ago, but hopefully he sticks to his guns (which, I highly doubt) and stays retired (hes been talking about retirement since right before the spinks fight)

    Farewell Mayorga

Well martinez put on a superb performance and underlined his p4p credentials.

The mayorga v cotto fight went exactly how I saw it going, except that cotto was able to take the shots off mayorga. I fully expected him to crumple under the combos. If his punch resistance is back we could see him rule for a while longer!

Margo will be next, meaning he'll need a big name opponent after that because foreman, mayorga and margarito isn't exactly a stellar lightmiddleweight resume. Hopefully he'll take on the likes of williams, cintron, angulo etc.

Not the best of timing Tackle, right now it's Japan in need of the World, absolutely terrible devastation. I doubt the card will go through, there are no conditions to place sporting events and that likely means our avatar bet is off.

Dunno man. I heard Tokyo's running pretty normal and wasnt effected too bad by the earthquake nor the tsunami.

But yeah I guess it's possible they'll cancel or reschedule the card. Been quite a crazy week in Japan huh. First the biggest earthquake in 180 years, then a devastating tsunami, a big whirlpool sucking in ships, then the nuclear reactors going wild and now one of their volcano's are waking up thanks to the quakes.

    Hope they'll be alright.

I do hope it will go through as sport success can give great hope to the people in sufferring, but as much as organizing it in such conditions it is equally difficult to have a perfect training camp with such a national trauma in mind. To go through and win might be too much to ask, but I can imagine these warriors preparing twice as hard for Japan.
