Not a huge box office ppv fight, or even one that is well known in United States, but at the time it was a highly anticipated domestic showdown in the UK. Jamie Moore was a tough, no nonsense fighter coming in at 24-3, and facing off with the strong Macklin who was 17-1 with 13 of those wins coming by way of stoppage. These two warriors put it all on the line that night, and neather was going to go down without fighting every inch of the way. Not p4p skill, and not fighting for any undisputed world title, but two warriors facing off with world class wills and toughness, and throwing shots with the worst intentions all night. Nothing but respect for what these two displayed that night.

Excellent spotlight kirk. What a war that was, not only a was but a brutal one punch knockout to top it off.

Jamie moore at 1 point was one of the best lightmiddleweights in the world and due to a mixture of bad management and bad promotion he never got the title shot. Sure he got to european level but he was right no the cusp of a title shot for about 2 years until eventually he got old. Terrible waste of talent and heart.
