03/25 - Ali Chebah vs. Ajose Olusegun - Olusegun UD
03/26 - Albert Sosnowski vs. Alexander Dimitrenko :think Dimitrenko wide UD robbery
03/26 - Dmitry Pirog vs. Javier Francisco Maciel - Pirog TKO
03/26 - Tshifiwa Munyai vs. Danilo Pena - Munyai UD
03/26 - Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Jorge Solis - Gamboa TKO
03/26 - Jorge Diaz vs. Teon Kennedy - Diaz UD
03/26 - Miguel Angel Garcia vs. Matt Remillard - Garcia TKO
03/26 - Denton Vassell vs. Bethuel Ushona :think Vassell SD

So solid fights this week, might have to look a bit deeper into some of these guys careers. cant wait for Gamboa/Solis, could be a bannana skin for gamboa but ultimately i think he'll win by a late TKO, i dont see them taking a fight unless they are pretty certain of victory uintil the mega match with Lopez is made.
Also a good heavyweight scrap between Dimitrenko and Sosnowski, I actually fancy Sosnowski but i think the powers that be could decide the outcome of this bout

This segment will be devoted to getting to know some of boxings
bright prospects, fighters who arent top 10 in the world just yet (ring ratings),
and have never challenged for a world title.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the first edition, we will be taking a look at Mikey Garcia, a fighter who falls right on the cusp between prospect and contender, but I feel is still green enough to consider a prospect as we come on the verge of his fight with Remillard.

    Prospect: Miguel Angel Garcia
    Alias: 'Mikey'
    Born: 12-15-1987
    Height: 5'8''
    Reach: 70''
    Record: 24-0

NEXT FIGHT: Saturday, March 26th (This Saturday!)

    -----------------------
Mikey Garcia belongs to one of the most prominent boxing families in the sport. His father and trainer is none other then Eduardo Garcia. Older brother Robert "Grandpa" Garcia won the IBF super featherweight crown.

Miguel started fighting as an amateur at age 14, winning gold medals at the 2004 Junior Nationals and the 2005 National Police Athletic League Championships.

Mikey has graduated from Ventura Counties Police Academy, having set himself in the right direction in hopes to have a career path when the time comes after boxing.

    Cool article kirk!

Jesus me i'm shattered. Had two assessments today with my year 7 and year 8 kids, hopefully they've aced it but I won't be marking till the weekend. Then I had a football match tonight, too tired to enjoy my bloody beer lol.

Anyways to boxing, I don't know about you guys, but the general forum is annoying me lately. One look at home page and it's the same shite over and over again. That bloody vitali atg thread is a great example of how **** some of these trolls are. Vitali not in the top 200 heavies..... Idiots lol.

So anyways march is coming to the end, what fight do you guys tip to be a competitive barnstormer?

Speaking of which, kirk I dunno how familiar you are with prizefighter, but is there room for prizefighter in your championship?

Huge respect for the Japanese to go through with the April triple-header despite the nation is still in shock. I'm definitely rooting for all 3 champs and guess what Tackle, our bet is good to go!

$200/$75 it is, plus the avatar.

    GO JAPAN!!!!!

The gist - mares v agbeko.

I really rate agbeko, he really is one of, if not the, best bantamweights in the world. He deserved to beat sidorenko, he schooled darch and he adjusted wonderfully in the rematch with perez. I believe a strong performance here will see him enter the top ten p4p list, or atleast enter discussions for the last place.

Mares is a strange one. He puts lot of effort into his fights and is scared of noone, proven at the weight now, but I had him losing to both perez and darch. I would be amazed if he won.

Either way the winner here has to be looking at either donaire, moreno or kameda next. The bantamweight division isn't massively deep, but it has 4 or 5 top quality names fighting each other.

My pick, agbeko by wide ud with a knockdown in round 8.
