An update out of Panama, Golovkin went life and death with Ouma. Stopped in 10, he was behind on my scorecard, and I would assume the majority on here as well and well...I would say on the judges' scorecards, but you never know. Let's just say if they were unbias then may'be they'd have Ouma up at the time of the stoppage.

 

Also, I need to get in on some upset action. I'm taking Nick Blackwell to beat Martin Murray by UD.

 

Are you only changing that because you want an upset win or were you on the fence on this one anyway? :think

The Broner vs Litzau bout looks more viable as an upset bout to me, I already changed my pick a couple of days ago (from Litz to Broner). But you never know with a young prospect like Blackwell of course.

 

You should read my breakdowns. :yep but yea, Blackwell has the skills and is fast. Murray is very experienced while Blackwell isn't. A huge step up for him in class and we will see if he sinks or swims, so it's a bit of a shot in the dark, but Blackwell definitely has skills, he is a very good fighter. So, I do see this a bit as a 50/50 fight, but the experience factor is really looming large and will really show up come fight night. If Blackwell can't think and goes in with no gameplan. He'll lose. if he comes in relaxed and has a plan I think he wins definitely. I like Blackwell's skills over Murray.

You know, if Blackwell does lose, I'm taking Litzau. So, really I'm just going for broke this week and I could topple down the rankings, but you know, this year I'm not feeling any pressure since I won it last year so I'm just having fun and going for broke.

I wouldn't call Litzau beating Broner much of an upset. He's on a good run and seem very comfortable at 130. Broner on the other hand did not look good at all in his last fight.

I'm still picking Broner, but I have a feeling Litzau will KO this faker.

 

Nah, I wouldn't either. I think this is a pretty close fight as well. There's a fantastic post on page 347 that states that. :yep
